Modernong Alipin (Modern Slave): An Al Baleda’s Artwork *A work of art is a scream of freedom (Christo). And according to Aristotle, the aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance.* That's why the visual art that I chose was "Modernong Alipin" by Al Baleda. At first, you will be able to see that the artwork portrays the enslavement of OFWs. They have been bearing the global crisis of our country for a long period of time. But when you stare deeply, you will actually see the strong personality of a Filipino not only on these hard times that was brought by this pandemic, but for their whole life of sacrificing for their family and for our country. They remain steadfast even when they have problems and trials in life. This personality represents **Filipinos as they continue to fight and live in this difficult situation.** In Al Baleda's artwork "Modernong Alipin", the assumption was art as an expression. The artist expresses the content or subject clearly where OFW's have been bearing the global crisis. The artwork also shows emotions, it releases a strong feeling of tiredness or sadness. The form of art or art form used was visual art where the subject of the art is being communicated to the audience through an application of color on a flat surface. The artwork's function was personal because it represents artist's self-expression, possibly based on his experience or what he have seen, and it is also social because it serves as a medium to show to people or to a group of people of what the content is trying to portray. The content was factual because the artwork shows a very clear and complete meaning. "**The artwork has a social relevance because it reflects one of the social issues where OFW's became modern slave. "** Overall, any form of art can serve as a medium of every artist to express their emotion, awareness, thoughts and improvement. Likewise, art can teach us about our surroundings and how each of us fits in the scheme of things. It allows us to imagine, create and reflect our ideas in a visual representation of our world. Art represents culture and traditions and also act as a therapy that aims to manage behaviors, process of feelings, reduce stress and anxiety, and increase self-esteem.

Engineering Economy Case Analysis **Think about this:** *"A piece of equipment that is being considered as a replacement for an existing item has greater reliability; that is, the Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) during the operation of the new equipment has been increased 40% in comparison with the present item. "* **How it might be feasible in an engineering economic analysis to consider this situation in terms of the monetary?** New equipment is being consider as a replacement for an existing item, which is 40% more reliable than present item. Let us digest the situation. Considering things and prospective outcomes is my first stand on this situation. Let us say that the present equipment is used for a years. Seems to be old, the systems are now being subjective to malfunctions, failures, and performances as well durability are downgrading. As a result, you will end up bringing the old equipment to technician. It will cost you more. On the other hand, considering new equipment as replacement with 40% reliability compare to the old equipment. Aside from it is new and more reliable, it can offer for the products being processed a quality improvement, expansion or new products and more likely add-up to the quantity being produce in a certain period. The new equipment has more prospective outcome and profitable for me. Therefore, it might be more feasible to decide and go with it. It is more profitable, not subjected to failure because it is new and high rate of reliability. However, when it comes to present item or equipment, it is still functional and can offer service. We need to consider it too before arriving into conclusion. The present equipment old but still functioning, whereas, if we directly buy the new equipment what will we going to do to the other equipment? We put money too; we invest in that equipment before. It could be a great loss in monetary budged. Likewise, as I have said, when it starts misbehaving and malfunctioning a more loss will be in line. In what case? Of course, for repairing, buying new parts if something broken, the produced product will be just see in quantity but poor in quality. In conclusion, it is be more strategical and feasible to rely on new equipment than on current equipment used. For the reasons; it has new specs, longer lifespan, not subjected to failure and malfunction because it is new of course tested too with 40% reliability rate than old item, can produce massive quantity products directly proportional to good quality, and best way to invest money than for investing on repairing the old equipment.

Every Fall Is a Chance to Rise **Every night before sleeping you get so many thoughts on your head about your love, family, career and so on. Your eyes are full of tears , your heart is too heavy , you couldn’t find out actually what you are meant for, you couldn’t figure out at what you are best , you couldn’t recognize yourself. You feel like you are the most useless person , the most failure person.** You think you couldn’t hold your relationship and you also think you couldn’t develop career , you are mashed up between relationship and career you think you need both but again you think you need space. This phase of life, the most difficult phase , the worst phase. You cheer the day and fear the night, you smile the day and you cry the night, you are really unable to know what actually you need in life. You are mentally tired , you are mentally so depressed and you couldn’t tell to anybody because you don’t think person around will understand. Life is really messed up, we have to deal with every ups and downs, every high and low, every cheer and suffer. Let’s wait for the day we find the way for our life , let’s wait for the day to feel proud of being ourself, we know every suffering brings peaceful future. Be sure the best is yet to come. We will surely come out from this phase someday and that would be the best day. #it_will_all_make_sense_one_day ❤️

Bag of Coins Once in a village lived a very greedy man Paul. He always wanted to have lots of money and wish to own everything to himself. He used to calculate each and every small ways in which he can save and get more money. He used to deceive others and many time told lies to protect his wealth. He was considered just opposite of Honesty. However one day he was taught good lesson because of his own act of greediness. One day he missed a small bag of coins which contained 50 coins. He searched for it but couldn’t find it. He told his friends and neighbors and workers about his lost bag and requested them to inform him if they found it. After couples of days, a little girl who used to live near Paul’s house found that bag. She told her father about it. Her father used to work in Paul’s land. He told his daughter that it was his master’s bag of coin and would return it to his master. Despite being poor worker went to his master and returned the bag. Paul was happy to get that bag and because of his greediness decided to play a trick. He shouted at his worker, “There were 75 gold coins in this bag but you gave me only 50 coins. Where are other coins? You have stolen them.!!” Worker was shocked to hear that and pleaded to his master that he gave whatever her daughter found. But selfish and greedy Paul didn’t accept it and decided to take the matter to the court. All went to court. Judge heard both sides and examined daughter and worker about number to coins they found and assured it was only 50. Now judge cross examined Paul about coins to which he replied, “Yes lord, I had 75 coins in my bag but they gave me only 50. They have stolen my coins.” Now, Judge made the judgement, “Since Paul lost a bag of 75 gold coins and bag found by girl had only 50 coins. So it doesn’t belong to Paul. So it was lost by someone else. In addition, if someone found any bag of 75 coins it would belong to Paul. There is no claims against lost of 50 coins. So i order girl and his father to accept 50 coins as token of appreciation for their honesty.” MORAL **Honesty is Rewarded and Greediness is Punished. But make it an inspiration and strength to be productive. Bring forward what is necessary. Lift down from the past your burden and walk with full of positivity.
