The harsh reality in Cuba. People often walk to their destination because it is generally what they are used to doing, Cubans walk a lot, but when it is very hot, doing so becomes very unpleasant. Also because public transport gets heavy and waiting for a bus (bus as they call it), is a torment. The streets are full of houses, most of them in poor condition, with a lot of neglect and poverty in every meter. The cars are old, worn out and the prices are through the roof, people just want to leave the country. For the average Cuban, blackouts and long lines to buy food are quite common, due to the socialist regime that remains in the country. These images are part of the reality that they live day by day.
