Some they use liquid cleaning if scartch then they are now readable
You have to be careful with which liquid you use, because if you add any corrosive or acid by mistake, the aluminum film will be damaged and goodbye CD.
We have some technicians which we called buffers. They clean, rub and polish the CDs. This video making things possible at home.
Yes, the interesting thing is that you can do it manually even if you don't have electric polishing. And the procedure is very well explained to understand precisely how to do it.
