Which one is your favorite? I was practicing some hair effects and I decided to try what I learned with a dog portrait. So I draw two almost-identical dog heads and started "the barber job" π In the left, I made long and curly lines. In the right, I used a lot of curly and short lines. I like the left one because it looks very illuminated and fancy but still simple and low detailed. And the dog in the right is more eye catching because of the shading but it's hair seems tangled and I'm not sure if that's a good thing. Even when I used the exact same markers for both drawings, the coloring results are completely different. If you have any tips for hair coloring, please, let me know ππ

The second one I love the Highlights I always tend to get bad at highlights when I paint but you nailed it
Thank you! Yeah, you're right. I used the same highlights for both drawings, but the contrast is more pronounced in the right one.
I wish I can one day be at the same level as you btw what medium did you use?
Nyaaa~ I'm blushed π³βΊοΈπ I'm just learning and trying new techniques everyday. Keep practicing and soon, I'll be the one wishing to be at your level πππ I'm a traditional artist. For this practice, I used brush tip markers and a white gelly roll gel pen.

Don't worry, I'm such a drama queen π π π But, hey, your portraits are beautiful. You are good as well. No artist is better than other as long their art represent their passion π
I like the way the one on the left looks better michi, it has more color, personally I like strong colors better.
Thank you, Fernando. Can you believe I used the very same markers for both drawings? Literally, they were yellow, orange, red, black and white π
