I love figs, but I had never seen it in abundance. In Dubai, Singapore or Hongkong we just bought them in packets of four pieces. Quite a luxury food...
I was a bit confused when I read your story and you were talking about fruits and I was deceived by the appearance of the 3rd photo whom I thought its an onion hahahaha so that was a fig fruit? so I get curious about that fig fruit and tried to search on google knowing it is a native fruit from the Mediterranean and western Asia, and I was shocked its been cultivated since ancient times and is now widely grown throughout the world, aside from being a fruit, it's also an ornamental plant.
