When Yaya Toure was discarded by Pep Guardiola at Man City, Yaya's agent threatened that African voodoo will always stop Pep from winning the Champions League. Pep made it to the Champions League final this year with Man City as huge favourites but lost out to Chelsea. Of course, the media was agog with the possibility of the African voodoo threat working against Pep.
