With preseason now in full swing it will be about transfer deals and rumours for now. Asides Messi verbally agreeing to a five year deal to stay at Barca, the one that interests me most is the impending transfer of Olivier Giroud to AC Milan. Giroud never ceases to amaze me. Just when you think it's over for him he finds a way to spring a nice surprise. He's not the modern, ball playing type of strikers dominating the football space right now but he has always proven himself anywhere he goes to. I wish him good luck in his next adventure. As for Messi though, he's yet to sign the contract. He's been convinced to take a whooping 50% pay cut but Barca still needs to clear some players off their list to even meet that. Griezmann looks to be the perfect player to be sacrificed. Simeone still wants him back. So a possible swap involving Griezmann and Saul Niguez is being mooted for now. Let's see how it goes.
