This season is already destined to be a very tough one for Dortmund. The loss of Sancho has been underplayed because it was expected but nothing could've prepared them for the loss of their man main, Haaland. Though they've relatively done well in the league with 8 wins in 11 and only sitting behind perennial Bundesliga king, Bayern, they were soundly beaten in both legs against Ajax in the Champions League. With Haaland out for the season most of the attacking burden now rests on the shoulders of Marco Reus, and he rarely stays fit all season. This season may be difficult for Dortmund but lack of challengers in the Bundesliga may still see them finish a comfortable second position.
