I woke up to the highlight of the Germany vs Portugal match about to be shown on the TV. Even though I wanted a Portugal win, I couldn't resist watching arguably the best match of the tournament so far. Though most people labelled France as the favourite, the way the Germans continuously pry open a Portugal defence with Pepe and EPL Player of the season, Ruben Dias, is astonishing. Add to the mix the remarkable consistency shown by Italy, and I have to say that France are no longer the overwhelming favourites. I guess most of us underrated the talents other teams possess.
