I'll start piecing my Fantasy Premier League team for the season together this afternoon. My strategy remains the same: 1) Three mid priced defenders who plays for the top teams with clean sheet and attacking potentials. Two rotating budget priced defenders with playing time. I'm not really a fan of the premium defenders, the Alexander Arnolds and Robertsons of this world. 2) Two premium midfielders, two mid priced midfielders and one diamond in the rough - a budget priced midfielder playing out of position as a striker. They all must deliver regular attacking returns. Son delivered wonderfully last season. His price jack is definitely a problem this time around. 3) One premium, one mid priced and one budget priced striker for a start. This is tweaked as time goes on. Harry Kane and Aguero used to be my go to guy for premium but with Aguero gone and Kane playing Manchester City on GW1, my strategy may change. 4) Two rotating goalkeepers with a budget of £10. Martinez did wonders last season. Let's see who will deliver this season asides the usual suspect, Ederson. 5) My preferred formation is 3-4-3. It changes regularly depending on the form and fixtures of my players, and the opponents I'm tussling with in the H2H leagues.
