Steven Gerrard is a Premier League great and his return to England is a welcome development. I don't fancy his first press conference though. Gerrard really did somehow said Villa can be participating in Europe again. Dude, you were appointed to stop them from relegating. Don't hang a noose around your neck by talking about European football they may never witness in 20 years.

It may well undo him,. He'd have been better off staying at Rangers until they started making progress in Europe then he would have built something
He wants a Premier League experience. He needed one to prepare him for a future Liverpool take over. He is forgetting that their is a huge difference between managing a top Scottish team in Scotland compared to managing a struggling EPL team.
