So I missed out on a scholarship opportunity and I felt ready bad about it. For days I couldn't compose myself. I was lost in thoughts and blaming every living and non living object for the missed opportunity. My mind was messed up with blames and regrets. Next morning I switched my TV to watch a program and here was this man saying all sorts of uninteresting things. I listened in a bid to vent my frustration but then he said something that struck me. He said, missing an opportunity is not a crime. Don't blame yourself and wallow in regrets. Though opportunity comes but once, it is that particular opportunity that will come once. A different opportunity will show up. If you pull yourself down with blames and regrets, when the next opportunity comes you won't be ready. So instead of wallowing in pity and regret dust yourself and prepare for the next opportunity. You don't want to miss it!
