Finally, Newcastle are off the base of the table after a 1-0 win over Burnley. They are now on 19th, level on points with Norwich and Burnley having played a game more. They are 3 points behind Watford who occupies the 17th position. With games against Leicester, Liverpool and both Manchester clubs before January Newcastle have a tough run of fixtures to come. If they manage to keep up with the rest they may just be able to flex their financial muscle in January to acquire game changing players that will lay the foundation for what to come.
