Hello everyone. I'm back! It's been almost 5 months of absence here. I can't visit my account here at read.cash due to bulks of work at school. Lack of Communication can Destroy a Relationship ***I remember when the time came between my husband and I that we almost didn't talk to each other. It was never easy to overcome this struggle between us. I've almost lose hope in fixing relationship things with him.*** Before we got married, I knew that he always talks less than I do in any situation. I knew that ***he is kind of a timid person*** and I understand that because people do have different distinct personal qualities. One more thing is that when you love someone, you will be able to accept all about him/her without any doubt or hesitation. As years are passing by, we've got to know more about ourselves or should I say...about each other's attitude. He is so kind, thoughtful and God-fearing husband. He always does what's good for our little family. It's just ***he is a silent type of person*** as always to the point that he doesn't tell me or forgets to tell me the things I need to hear from him like his plans, his day-to-day activities at work, how was his day went, even his routines when I'm not around. All of these are opposite of what I do when it comes to communication because ***I value having conversations with him especially if it's about our family future plans.*** I enjoy having deep talks with him. But the talk would not be initiated if it's not me to start the conversation. I was always the one who brings up topics. I tell him all I did throughout my day, at work, with friends, and with our son. That's the routine every time we talk. ***Until I got sicked of doing such things over and over again.*** It's disgusting whenever I wait for him to talk to me but it ended up waiting for nothing. ***He was even doing important things in his life without telling me that he is up to something good or bad.*** Time came that I don't talk if it's not him to start the conversation. It happened day by day; ignoring each other. It's not easy for a wife who is always open for a talk with her husband. It hurts. It's a burden I can't carry in my entire life. I can't tell him what I feel that time because I was so upset of what's happening in our relationship. I write instead. I write in my diary every now and then. My diary covered up my tears, my sadness. Until one day he found my diary while he was looking for something in the closet. Unknowingly, he read all the details of my grief since from the start. ***He never knew that I was in a depression.*** Since then, everything changed. He asked for forgiveness. He made up the moments we suppose to talk or to bond. He was so sorry and realized that what he did was a mistake. *** Lessons: "Communication is very important between couples." "Lack of communication can destroy a relationship." "Do not change your someone's attitude, let him change himself for you. There you can find true love."

Shout for Academic Freeze! We all know, as Filipinos, that classes will begin on October 5 this year. We don't know what will happen next if the current administration will allow the beginning of classes on the said date knowing that the cases of covid 19 positive patients is still increasing. Eventhough, educators are quite prepared for the LDM or the so called Learning Delivery Modality that will be adopted by different public schools in the country, we will be facing a huge challenge and also the risk that every teacher and parent might encounter during the implementation of the LDM. There are different LDMs that public school can adopt and these are the following; Distance Learning Modality-It has 2 types; the Modular Distance Learning (MDL) and the Online Distance Learning (ODL). In MDL , all activities will be done at home where parents or guardians are the primary household learning partners of the learners. They will be given modules, crafted by selected teachers, to be used as their learning materials. There is a schedule of the distribution and retrieval of modules depending on the agreement of the school administration and the parents. In ODL, from the word itself, the teaching and learning process will be done through the utilization of the internet and gadgets like laptop, tablet, desktop, or cellphone. Blended Learning Modality- This refers to the combination of 2 learning delivery modality which are the modular distance learning and face-to-face learning where teachers and learners will meet physically at school where teaching and learning process takes place.. The 2 LDM will be implemented based on the result of enrollment survey conducted by the public teachers. Homeschooling- This refers to a learning delivery modality where a learner can have an access to a formal learning at home. This could be done through the supervision or guidance of a tutor, if the family can afford to hire a tutor or if there is a family member who can give proper instruction to the learner. A public school can choose the appropriate LDM for it to be implemented during the school year 2020-2021. Whatever LDM that a school has adopted, it really is a struggle for our Filipino learners especially those living in remote areas who doesn't have an access to the internet to adjust their way of learning during the "new normal". Self-learning modules will be utilized for modular distance learning. But, as constructed by educators, it became a congested task for the learners making them extend and spend most of the their at home in answering all the activities as indicated in the modules. It is also a challenge for the working parents to manage their time in supervising and guiding their children in learning at home. There are different faces of problems facing by the parents, teachers, and learners this time of pandemic. Many of them demand for academic freeze. To ensure the safety of everybody, the government must provide vaccines and number of the covid cases must decrease gradually before they allow the opening of classes this year. How about you? Ang sakit ng ulo ni maam nung nakipag away ka at sya ang pinatawag sa principal's office upang magpaliwanag. Ito na ngayon, tapos na ng isang taong pagsasama-sama sa loob at labas ng classroom. Ngayon ay mag-isa na naman si ma'am. Pilit sumisiksik sa isip nya ang masasayang alaala na iniwan nyo sa classroom. Yung mga kakulitan nyo. Yung mga asaran nyo. Yung kantahan nyo tuwing vacant time na ginawang drums yung broombox at gitara yung walis. Yung mga biruan. Yung iyakan kapag touching ang lesson o nakarelate kayo sa topic. Yung walang sikretohan. Mga bagay na namimiss ni maam😢 Nagba-backread sya sa mga convo nyo sa gc kasi namimiss nya kayo. Yung mga unending na chikahan. Lagi nya naaalala yung mga sweet surprises nyo sa kanya. May pa-flowers at pa-cake pa kayo nung Teacher's Day with matching spoken poetry about giving thanks to your class adviser. Maamsie kung tawagin nyo. So sweet❤️ Nung malapit na ang closing ng school year, another surprise na talaga namang ikinatuwa ng puso ni maam. With personal messages pa at video presentation pa. Namimiss na kayo ni ma'am 😭😭😭 Sana kayo na lang ulit😭 Kayo na lang ulit ang estudyante nya sa susunod na taon. Pero hindi pwede😭 Kailangan nyang tanggapin na aalis na kayo at tatahakin nyo ang panibagong yugto ng buhay. Kapag nakikita ka ni ma'am sa labas ng paaralan, masayang masaya sya, kulang na lang ay yakapin ka nya sa tuwang nagkita kayong muli. At paaalalahanan ka na "mag-aral kang mabuti, soar high, hit the mark" kasi bukod sa iyong mga magulang ay sya lang ang tanging taong magiging proud sa pagtatagumpay mo. Ngayon, sino ka nga ba sa buhay ni ma'am? Estudyante ka nya. Subalit anak ang turing nya sayo. Kaibigan syang malalapitan mo. Maraming taon man ang lilipas, hindi magbabago ang turing nya sayo. Darating ang panahon na isa ka nang pulis, sundalo, engineer, doctor, nurse, architect, businessman, o guro, o ano pa mang propesyon na mas mataas kaysa sa kanya subalit mananatili syang nanay mo o kaibigan mo at walang magbabago dun.

Different Beliefs about Butterfly: Filipino Culture Have you heard about the different superstitious belief about the visit of any butterfly to your house especially when it's color is black, white or yellow? They say it's a bad luck when a black butterfly visits your house. Some other say that someone in a family will bid goodbye forever. They mean it's a sign of grief. On the other hand, some of our ancestors say that black butterfly is a representation of someone who died in the family. They somewhat talk to the butterfly, give thanks for the visit and beg for guidance. In contrary, others say it's a good luck when a yellow or white butterfly flies around your house. It's a sign that you will be having a lot of money in the near future or a great opportunity will be knocking on your doorstep. In short, these butterflies signify hope for most of Filipino families. I am a Filipino, but I do not believe in such superstitions. I respect other's beliefs because that's what they believe and I have nothing to do with that. It's just a matter of our own perspectives in life that make us tight on some beliefs. If you saw a flying black butterfly inside or around your house and you believe that it will bring bad luck to the family, then, it's your perspective. I respect that. But if you are aware that butterflies live a very short life span and find some place where they can rest, then, you have other perspective about it. You either drive the butterfly away or keep them gently in your hands and put them in the garden. These thoughts just came up in my mind when my son saw a beautiful dotted black butterfly flying around our house and these beliefs made me remember about my relatives. I saw he is caring it gently; put it in his hands, came to me and said "Mommy, I saw this butterfly that seems so tired." This is the second time he saw such beautiful butterfly. The butterfly is dying that's why it finds some place to rest. I took pictures of it before it dies and I really love it's beautiful color. Do you like butterflies too? Second Home If students call classroom as their second home, we (teachers) also claim it as our second home. We live in it 8 hours in a day and save few hours during weekends in our willingness for some important purposes. Classroom is the place where we play our role as second parents to our students. We guide them to explore the world and their imagination. We facilitate for them to learn more about life and about future. Classroom is our second home where we spend most of our time with different types of individuals. It is the place where we mold different characteristics that will correspond to ones personality. We make our students feel that they are welcome and safe to live in here everyday so that they'll also feel excited to come to school everyday. Quite hard to play our roles. But it is our passion which we make as our profession.

Challenge of Teaching Literature in this Time of Pandemic Today, in our viewpoints, is the most challenging epoch of all times. Everybody was really affected by this pandemic. We tend to adapt the new normal but, undeniably, it is tough for us to live in the ways we do not use to do. The national and local government planned on how to keep their people safe and sound against the Corona Virus Disease. This led the authority to impose and implement the different precautionary measures in order to prevent the widespread of the virus. These settings have truly affected the delivery of education to our beloved learners. As educators, we find ways to continue on delivering knowledge especially on numeracy and literacy for our learners to acquire the desired competencies within a specific time. Many of the households in our community are unable to access the online mode of learning; as a result, modular distance learning is the only modality that is suitable for the learners but quite a challenge for both of the learners and teachers specifically in teaching and learning literature. Literature is one of the exciting lessons in a classroom setting particularly when unique methods or strategies are being applied by the teacher. Learners are attentive and cooperative in small group differentiated activities especially when they can relate themselves in the story or topic. Practically speaking, this can’t be done at their home when modular distance learning is implemented. Exchanging of different ideas, expressing of emotions, and exploring the world of literature might not guarantee to unfold since they will be learning with themselves. Parents can help. Yes. But the guidance and instructions that teachers can give is what the learners need the most. The bind that connects the learners and the teachers will be disconnected somehow. This is a huge challenge that the learners and teachers have to face in this time of pandemic

I am a teacher, but I am also a mother Being a mother is the greatest privilege I ever received. It gives me the right and responsibility to be a steward of God's precious creation. When I gave birth to my child, I also gave birth to hope- a hope that God will guide us in raising our child according to his will, a hope that we will be the happiest family in the world, a hope that we can do everything possible in God's help, a hope that whatever challenge we might experience, we will surpass it as a family. At first, it was so perfect. Having a thoughtful, responsible, and cool husband. Having a cute lovely little boy in the family. I am really happy. But I also have this profession that makes my life perfectly imperfect. Yes. I am teacher, a public school teacher. I have now a bigger responsibility as a mother. I am a mother of my own child and a second mother to my students. It's not easy to play my roles but I love what I am doing right now. My child makes me inspired to work for his future. My husband and I work together to build a strong foundation of our family. My students inspire me to do my job with all my heart and soul because I love them and I care for them. Doing teacher's tasks is so hard that makes me so tired everyday. Teaching the lesson everyday, preparing for the lesson everyday, doing bulks of paper works monthly, classroom maintenance, and many others. And sometimes, my time for my family was being spent on doing teacher's tasks. Yes. It's not easy. But this is the profession I dreamt of. And now that I have this, I want to perform excellently. But I cannot deny that my family needs me. My child needs a mom to care for him. My husband needs a wife to be his tandem in raising our child.
