A Law lecturer asked a student: "What's your name?" The student said his name, "Boedi, sir." Suddenly the lecturer threw him out for no reason. The student tried to defend himself. But the Lecturer even snapped at him. In the end he came out with a feeling of tyranny. The other students were silent. After that the lecturer started the lecture. He asked the students, "What are laws made for?" One student answered, "To control human behavior." Another student answered, “To apply!” The other replied, "So that the strong do not oppress the weak." The Lecturer said, "True...but all that is not enough!" Suddenly one of the female students raised her hand and said, "To bring about justice!" The lecturer said, "Yes! That is the answer, in order to create justice! But the question is, what is the use of justice?" One student answered, "So that everyone's rights are protected and no one is wronged!" The lecturer asked, "Now answer honestly and don't be afraid... Have I been wrong to your friend when I kicked him out of class?" They answered in unison, "Yeah ..!" Then the Lecturer said in a high tone Then why are you silent and not defending?! "What's the use of laws and laws if we don't have the courage to enforce them?!" "When you stay silent when someone is wronged, and you don't try to stand up for what is right then you will lose your humanity. And, humanity is non-negotiable..!" Then the lecturer called Boedi, the student he had expelled earlier, and apologized to him in front of all the students. Then the teacher said: "This is all the lesson for today. You must try to practice it in your daily life as long as you live." "How many people are silent about injustice, injustice and even close friends with wrongdoers just because they want to get COMFORT." #RandomThoughts
