111 years ago on this day Portugal had his "Declaration of Independence" This Silver Coin and the Republic new Flag were the first symbols At that time this 1 escudo Coin was worth as much as 1000 king coins used to This was 1910. I don't know anyone living at the time, but I remember my grandparents saying they bought their house for 60 escudos, back in 1949 So I guess this was huge back than ❤️ I love coins, not for it's worth but for the beauty and the Historical Energy. So today is holiday here, in Portugal And i overslept 🙈 The weather is grey and still promising rain.... Wish you all a Beautiful Blessed Amazing Unique Unreplaceable Unrepeatable Tuesday Make it Memorable #WeAreONE 🌍 #BeTheChange ☮️ #SpreadTheLight ✨ #OldCaveWoman ❤️

Wait a minute ...... I thought Portugal has been around since the days of the Reconquista. Is that not true? Now according to Wikipedia, ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Portugal ), "Portugal traces its national origin to 24 June 1128, the date of the Battle of São Mamede. " So maybe I'm wrong? (Shocking, huh?)
