Unless you're a follower of the ancient Greek philosopher Parmenides, who claimed that all change is an illusion. ( https://www.worldhistory.org/Parmenides/ ) Some of those Greek philosophers were a bit nutty. For example, Empedocles was rumored (probably falsely) to have died by jumping into a volcano.
