Breaking Cycles!!!! ❤️❤️❤️ It's so good to break long existing cycles. Instead of Tricks or Treat i see the vast majority here chose to share with neighbors and friends, family Fun together. As I told you before, Halloween isn't our tradition. Portuguese tradition is called "Pão por Deus" - Bread for God - and it's celebrated on the 1st November day The history tell us the origin: after the giant Earthquake and Tsunami that devasted our main City, Lisbon, in 1755, ppl had to beg for food in the near towns. Specially the orphans, young children that lost their parents and had no family to protect them. Again the tradition started with a very sad event. I can't think about Pão por Deus without thinking about the children that suffered starvation... Now-a-days our children have everything they need, it's unthinkable to feel starved... Pão por Deus or Halloween or whatever you chose to call it, as became a day for sharing and laughing, a family and friends day Tomorrow my kids will join their friends and go about the neighborhood asking for Pão por Deus. And I will love to be visited by all the children in the neighborhood to share with them smiles and sweets Time to sleep now, sending out ripples of Love, Kindness and Respect ❤️❤️
