In 1948,WHO took a more holistic view of health. They stated that health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.
The definition highlights the fact that individuals has functioning physical, psychological and social aspects and it conveys the idea of a person. So in other words, dynamism must be maintained in adapting to the changes in the environment. Apart from the physical factors(disease, vectors), other behavioral factors affect the health of an individual.
Psychology, the mind-body interaction affects health both positively and negatively. Emotional response to stress can change bodily function. Example : *worry can make someone to be a chain smoker.* Prolonged emotional distress may weaken one's defense and make him susceptible to organic disease or precipitate it;emotional distress may affect the immune system through the central nervous system and endocrine alterations leading to infection, cancer and auto immune diseases.
The way one feels about self, perceives the physical self needs, needs, roles and abilities influence how people view and handle situations and these(attitudes) can affect health practices,response to stress and illness and the times when treatment is sought. According to long man dictionary of contemporary English, sports can be defined as a physical activity in which people compete against each other.The history of sports goes back to 3000 years.In those days, sports often involved the preparation for war and training for hunting.This explains why so many early games involved the throwing of spears,stakes and rocks etc and sparring one on one with opponents.As a result,formal sports which include events such as foot and chariot race, wrestling, jumping, discus and javelin throwing were introduced in first Olympic games in 776BC by ancient Greeks.
Sports has created so many importance on the life of people both children and adults.Firstly,it has been a source of help to children in developing physical and mental toughness.It also encourages kids to get out and get active.Secondly,it helps in blood circulation and keeps the body healthier.Active participation reduces tiredness and lethargy.Sports play vital role of impacting character,value in the life of people.
Furthermore, sports has it's positive impact in the society and nation at large.Such impact include: boosting local and creating economic impact, creating job opportunities, national unity, community relationship, national pride.It brings togetherness and oneness in the society and nation at large.It presents players as role model to many people in the society.

Our moral lesson is drafted from the birth and wide welcome of a baby giraffe.The birth of a giraffe is always a remarkable experience on earth.It endures a rude welcome into the world by falling more than 5ft to the ground at birth.The mother lovingly lowers her neck to smooch the baby giraffe and then kicks it, sending the baby flying in the air and trumbling down to the ground.This action continues untill the little giraffe (still trembling and tired) pushes her limbs,gets up on her feet and walks,it falls again but recovers quickly and stands.This infant can stand in half an hour and runs with the mother an incredible 10hours. The mother becomes happy because she has taught the baby a lesson and it can learn it.
The mother giraffe has a reason for doing this,is because she knows that the lions and the leopards enjoy eating giraffe meats as food,so until the baby learns how to stand on it's feet and runs it can not survive.No matter how many times you fall,no matter how big the scars are.It could be 99 times,always remember to rise,pick up your broken pieces and continue.When life gives you reasons to say it is over,just remember it is not.No matter how hard,what matters is bouncing back to life and **continuing.**

Discrimination:The bed-bug of the society
Discrimination is the act of making distinctions between human beings based on their groups ,classes,or the categories to which they are perceived to belong.It can based on age,caste, status, disability,race,sex etc . This discrimination or inferiority complex makes the majority treat the minority as needless people in the society.
Inferiority complex can exist in various forms.These forms include:
Firstly,moral discrimination which behaves that a race of people are morally inferior and as such members of that race deserve less respect and concern.It can also be genetic racism which believes a race of people is genetically inferior and such members are less intelligent and generally less capable.Futher more, discrimination can be found in the found in the aspect of financial abilities where the less privileged amount to nothing in the society.The rich ones are superior in their speeches, conduct and all round activities.
A lot of factors influence discriminants in the world today.Many people point it to high poverty and unemployment that is being.While others claim that these are not the reasons for discrimination,but other factors such as : high crime rate in the inner cities,illegal drug trade, low standard in public schools etc. All these disproportionately affect people who are concentrated in the urban areas for historical reasons.Today, discrimination is still the same both in employments, marriages and mostly in the relationship between minority and majority.
Finally,every minority group in the society wants to be heard,not for popularity or to rise above the majority,but to end the indifferences and abuses that they have been facing.Efforts had been made by people like *Martin Luther King jnr* who rose against racism and fought the blacks on American soil for equal rights and equal opportunity.More efforts should be put in place to see that every other area of discrimination should be fought against.
Feminism and gender discrimination
Feminism can be used to describe political, cultural, economic or sociological movement aimed at establishing equal rights and legal protection for women which involves philosophies that are concerned with gender discrimination.Right from the creation and beginning of the world,the phenomenon feminism started.This has been the uniting adversaries females face for so long and feeling of discrimination,as a whole has covered various races, culture,nation and the society itself.Every group in the world both minority and majority seek be heard ,for this reason,a group of women like *Malala yousafzai* an educational activist who fought for female education in India rose to oppose discrimination on female gender in Pakistan and to be granted equal rights with others as humans.
Gender discrimination can be found in various aspects of human activities.such areas include:denial of women's legal right on education, voting rights, bodily integrity and autonomy, reproductive (including quality parental care), protection of women and girls from domestic violence, sexual harassment and rape.These aspects have their various effects on the female and humans as a whole.
Females are not allowed to share equal rights in all things.Males are said superior and biological more powerful than the females.Education for females is regarding as waste of resources because of the fhoneme that says " women education ends in kitchen".
Conclusively, efforts should be made to bring solution to gender discrimination.Women should be liberated in order to participate in human activities such as participating as electoral candidates and such like,just like their male counterparts.
