1. Black widow The "Black Widow" is most often found in the southern United States, but also in most of the Western Hemisphere. The dimensions reach 4 centimeters (females) and 1.25 centimeters (males). The poison of this spider is 15 times stronger than that of a rattlesnake. The pain spreads quickly in the body, causing chills, nausea, breathing problems, delirium and partial paralysis. About 5% of black widow attacks are fatal. In 2010, 2,168 cases were reported in the United States, of which 892 people were treated in hospital units.
