You need to be contented to be happy...
Being happy is important. Having money is much important. But the question is, Can money buy happiness? Or you just need to be contented to be happy? Sometimes we tend to do things that make us happy. We go out with friends, eat together, hang out, watch movies, go shopping, travel, and do everything to enjoy. But of course, we work hard to earn money. We go to work, packed our lunch and have some food so we can be thrifty in a way not to spend too much money. We sometimes overwork to earn much more money. We do this for our family and loved ones. We do it for ourselves. But are we really happy with what we earn? If we earn a lot, that really makes us happy. Because if we have a lot of money, we can do whatever we want. We can pay our bills on time, buy whatever food we like, and buy lots of things. But some people say that money can't buy happiness. But when we are able to buy what we want, it makes us happy, right? It is just that, we are not contented, because we sometimes crave for more. Therefore we can say that "Money can't buy contentment ". Because the truth is, you really do not need a lot of money to be happy. You just need to be contented to be happy.

Exactly, money can't but happiness. But human as we are don't have any contentment. We look for more and more that we tend to forgot being happy.
I agree with you. Although we already have money, we tend to find more. We sometimes want more. And we don't stop until we get more and more money.
True. Happiness doesn't only depend on something that has monetary value. Material possessions are temporary, but with contentment, you are rich with everything.
That was an awesome statement. I really wanted to feel contentment in everything I do. Though I sometimes crave for things I cannot own, I try to think of other alternatives for it.
I totally agree. Money can buy happiness but that's just temporary or momentary. To be truly happy we have to be contented. Having a satisfied life is much better that a successful life.
Well said. It is money that lets us acquire things, many things. And though it is temporary, it makes us happy. And sometimes, having more and much money gives you a high status in society.
Being happy is your choice as well as your right. Monetary things not always buys you happiness but sometimes can be cause of your smiles like gifts etc 😉
I believe you. Monetary things make me smile too. I am happy that someone gives me things as gifts. It just means they remember me. And I am thankful for that.
Happiness is a choice. We should choose to be happy always
It's fake and nonsense that happiness is a choice. It's a choice to be satisfied with less,it's a choice not to care about high tech, it's a choice to have 2 or one meal a day if you stuff yourself three times a day but bills need to be paid, the government and house owners do not wait, neither does school fee etc. If you suffer from a disease cannot afford a doctor are in pain 24/7 this is not fun and choosing to be happy will not help you neither your family who has to live with your screams.
Well, being satisfied with less leads to ultimate happiness I think.Your example about disease is not applicable for the topic the author is talking about. No sentence in the world is applicable for all in all situation.I choose to be happy when feeling petty is an option. In severe disease with less affordability,I really don't have the option there to be happy.I choose to happy when there's other options.
Thank you for sharing your opinion. Everyone has the freedom to express their thoughts. And I am so happy that you are doing it. Stay safe and always be happy!
You also have your point. Each of us has our own point of view. And I respect that. Your expression of what makes you happy and your satisfaction in life is indeed right. Thank you for your insights. Stay healthy and happy!
Thank you for your insight. It's good to read something which gives the mind some food. 👍
Yes, it is. You just need to know what makes you happy. And eventually, choosing it will be the right decision. And I am sure that whatever makes you happy, you will never regret it.
We discussed this at home many times and to us the answer is "yes". Money does buy happiness, the state to be content. The world I live in is based on money only. Without no food, no clothes and glasses for my children, no education, living on the street because I can not afford the annual taxes for house, water, garbage/environment, a dentist or doctor in case of need, etc.
> Money is needed in everything. It is where discussions begin. Sometimes people are misunderstood because of money. Everybody needs money.
