Hey, I know the world's a little cruel at you right now but do you know what am I here for? I am here to show you that darkness matters because you'll find reasons to stay here.
Reason 1:
have you gone to a garden? The one that has around five hundred species of plants from different families. You can see its uniqueness, its various forms and hues and vibrancy and beauty. have you tried to breathe the air they give and smell its fragrance? have you tried to sit on the grass and talk to the bees you tried to watch the caterpillar become a butterfly? Do you wonder where do the frog hides when it randomly makes a sound?
You have to stay. Go to a garden, or better yet, make one. It will be as lovely as you are.
Reason 2:
have you gone to a beach house? The one that's kind of high and overseas the sea and the fishermen. The one that has a lot of coconut trees with hammocks in between. You can watch the sunset then watch constellations in the sky. how many can you name? have you tried catching the small crabs that leave on the sand? How many can you catch? have you tried to make a sandcastle? have you tried to collect seashells? You can put it on a jar or make some bracelets and necklaces. have you tried listening to the sound of the waves? Do you wonder who taught them how to dance?
You have to stay. Make it come true. Build a beach house and paint it white and blue.
Reason 3:
Have you gone to a strange little city? have you learned a hidden history about the town and how it got its name? Talk to the busy people on the streets and ask a kid's name after you buy him an ice cream. Sit on the park and watch the man who sells balloons and wonder where this little colorful stuff goes when they're tired of flying high. Walk down the streets and buy fruit juice.
Do they have strange food too? You might want to try. Have you seen their abandoned train station or the popular bookstore hiding down the alley? have you tried holding a map and looking for the street names? have you tried crossing a busy street full of crowd and vehicles hassling on a Sunday afternoon? Have you tried running on each building looking for a really comfortable comfort room? have you tried looking for your relatively small hotel room, sniffing through the air, and feeling home to a place unknown?
Go ahead and find that city. run on the streets and be reckless. Know the rules and try to break them because you feel free when you know you're home.
Reason 4:
Have you tried baking? Measuring, mixing, and shaking all the ingredients. Testing all the recipes on your cookbook that smells like vanilla. Jumping up and down when the oven has done its job. have you bought enough toothpicks to test if it was cooked? have you tried separating egg whites from the yolks and felt that jelly-like substance in your hands? have you looked at the mirror with flour on your face? You might enjoy listing all the ingredients you need and the tools that would inspire you to bake more. How about putting the croissants in the basket and give them to the neighborhood? have you tried carrot cake or banana bread?
Tiny cakes would be pleasing, too, with white daisies on the top, sprinkles of silver, and baker's love coming from you.
Go to your kitchen make some pastries. Stir well and toss lightly, let it simmer, and make it sweet. You know the best mixture, I'm sure of it.
Reason 5:
Have you made your craft station? The one you dreamt of since you were five. Where you can put all your mess – paints, brushes, beads, and pastels to make a beautiful art. didn't you plan to put it in the attic, the one with a tiny window overlooking the garden, where you can hide from the world and be magnificent. Won't you snuck all your dried flowers on the box and paste it on your hundredth journal? Don't you love the yellowing pages of your old notebooks piled up on your wall or the beaded anklets scattered on the floor?
Climb up and be an artist, paint all the walls, including the sky. color up the galaxy in your own palette, and sprinkle it with dusty white, and don't forget, you are the shooting star.
All these reasons and a thousand more, my dear, have you tried them all? Because if not, you have to stay in this world and make it a little brighter with your eyes and words.
Those reasons you mentioned really contain great meaning. Thanks for this dear author!
