🍁Happy Thanksgiving 🍁
Hubby smoked this turkey for 4hours in the smoker and 2 hours in the oven, basically he stayed late last night, I just made the hasbrown casserole and the rest was made by hubby ❤️❤️.I’m thankful he cooked all these for our thanksgiving meal. We had full and happy tummy here just snacking and being lazy the rest of the day.
We have so many things to be thankful for!! I’m just thankful for every being alive, for my family , for good health, all the blessings from above, for His love and saving grace! even for the hard times that teaches me to be more patient 😂and of course I’m thankful for all my friends in person and online! What are you thankful for, how do you celebrate Thanksgiving holiday?

How’s everyone?I hope you’re all doing great while me I’m in bed feeling a little sick because of the weather, I feel bad while hubby is doing all the cooking for our Thanksgiving Dinner, but he’s good at smoking turkey, that’s his specialty ❤️😋and every year we look forward for it, I’ll be doing the side dish tomorrow, for sure I’ll get better, just need to get a good rest.

How’s the weather at your end? It’s freezing cold here in AR 🇺🇸 fall season didn’t stay long, it snowed again the other night it’s the second time in November❄️. I was planning to go hiking to the mountains the first week of December whenever my sister visit us, it seems not possible unless it gets warmer, I hope it will. I feel lazy during winter days, just want to curl up under my blanket and lay in bed 😂how about you all, do you like winter days?

It’s dinner time here. I made baked loaded butternut squash, just a light dinner I’m still stuffed after eating at Chinese buffet restaurant with hubby and daughter.
I love squash than potatoes and butternut squash has the highest Vit A and C among all other squash veggies.
This is my first time to make this meal but it looks and smells delicious now I’m drooling, let’s eat, “itadakimasu” don’t forget to say grace!
Cold winter season has finally arrived here in AR🇺🇸❄️
Yesterday night while we were at our friend’s house for a fall potluck it was windy and cold but enjoyed eating chili and the hayride❄️ then white flurries started to fall from the sky😰it was snowing! our first ever snow in November here, and woke up this morning with a little snow on the ground. Sunset shot the other night on the way to church, I asked my daughter to take these shots for me, cause I can’t get off my hands on the steering🤣you know what I mean, but I don’t want to miss this shot, gladly she’s used to my weirdness when it comes to taking photographs of anything lol.
We had warm weather here for days but chilly cold winter seems coming now, it will be so cold the next coming days, and now at 38 deg. F😂

Everyone was talking about the lunar eclipse, I was excited to hear on the radio but also frustrating that it happened here too early in the morning around 4 am and the cloudy sky will prevent its visibility, anyway I was able to take a photo of it yesterday just after the moonrise it was beautiful with the pink clouds in the sky, this was almost before sunset. I noticed that moon rises early here, even before the sun sinks down.
I used my 300mm lens with my Olympus EM-10 3.

Look at these shots I took at the park two days ago. As I was supposed to leave the place after finishing my grocery list I saw this bird , it’s not commonly seen here, and I knew it’s just passing by. Thankful I have my camera and 100mm lens, I used to carry my 300 mm lens but I was lazy to take it with me that time. I think the shot was good enough for me to share with you.
Can you name this bird? I have an app that tells you the exact name of the birds, which is pretty cool app.
This is called great cormorant or black shag, they feed on fish caught through diving. Pretty cool right!

In 1 hour it will be Saturday here 😅I’m posting these photos for Caturday. I want you to meet our kitties Kookie and Bean, I mentioned to @DanaT that her cat Marta looks like our grey one Kookie, and the black one is Ms Bean. Kookie just turned 1 year old, last August that was the day we found her when she was a kitten, while Bean is almost 7 year old, she kinda old like me lol😂. Kookie still loves to play , chasing this lanyard is her favorite one, while Bean doesn’t really care she just sits at one corner and will ask for food when she’s hungry, she’s impatient that will scratch the door if she didn’t get her food , i don’t know where she got that from😅hmmm that reminds me that every humans are different just like our pets, we’re not perfect, we are sinful but can be made righteous by grace!

I’m taking a break, after dropping off my daughter from school I did my groceries, came home, emptied the dishwasher, transplanted some of my indoor plants, now it’s past lunch time my tummy is rumbling, just eating left over from last night, grilled Mexican meat and baguette topped with ranch dip and cucumbers, this should be enough for me to last before supper. I’ll just make green salad and veggie balls for tonight.

Just want to share my summer adventure last July when we went to Colorado 🇺🇸and did a mission trip with our church family, the time we arrived we’re too early to check-in so we went driving to the Rocky Mountains and took lots of photos. I love the mountains, just beautiful it feels like when you’re at the Rockies you’re enclosed by those mountains and no where to escape unless you find the road 😂 just breathtaking view and would love to visit there again.

I baked this last night to go with potato soup, one of the comfort food I usually cook for my family especially when the weather is cold. I love bread that’s why I can’t do keto diet😂 or low carb , but I just started Carb Cycling Diet, they said it’s more sustainable 😅 than any kind of diet , since alternately you can choose to eat whether to have high or low carb on certain days. I hope it works for me, the key to everything is moderation!

This morning after dropping off my daughter to school and got home, I received a text from my daughter that she forgot her school ID and will be in detention if she doesn’t have it😂I thought I can start doing house chores but every things changes , I have to drive back and bring her ID, of course I have to lecture her for that 😂😅to prepare everything at night so she won’t forget what she need. The good thing her school is only 15 minutes away, oh boy!! gas isn’t cheap but that’s the right thing to do. We as parents will do anything for our kids but we also need to teach them so they’ll learn and not repeat the same mistakes! Sometimes we get frustrated with situations, but still we can find reasons to smile. I stopped by the lake and took photo with my glass ball. Hope you like it. Keep smiling all!

After taking my daughter to school I stopped by the lake close to our house, about a minute drive, just to see if I can find a nice view and I did❤️it’s a little cloudy when I got there, I adjusted my camera the shutter speed and aperture to get a better photo. I saw this man on his boat just enjoying the day with his fishing line under the water and waiting to for the fish to bite his bait. Would love to do this sometime with hubby so I can eat fresh water fish, I love bass, we have lots here and catfish. Hmmm I’m drooling now. I only had pancake and coffee for breakfast, that’s why I feel hungry.

Eye catching beauty I found at the Bed and Breakfast place we stayed in Iowa last summer, I just admire the simplicity of this, the red wall, the little plant and the owl, hanging on the door they caught my attention, just beautifully arranged.
Sometimes little things in life are mostly neglected and appreciated, can you think of one thing or person that you often forget to be thankful for?

Mine is kinda busy especially on Thursdays, I have to make breakfast every morning but on Thursdays I need to packed lunch for my daughter I made sushi for her to take to school to snack on after school she has to walk a mile across their school to Northwest Medical Hospital , as a junior high her medical class have to do a community work so they were volunteered for 3 hrs every Thursdays for 10 weeks to a help in the hospital. I think it’s child labor 😂 lol Joke😂! She’s learning a lot and will prepare her for college.

This morning after taking my daughter to school I dropped by the lake just a mile from my house, I went exploring the place 😉I walked by the lakeside climbed across that huge fallen tree on the 3rd photo, just to get a good view for me to share with you, thank God I didn’t fall onto the water lol, or I’ll be soaking wet, the worst could have drowned, my over protective hubby will be mad if he finds out, that I went to the lake by myself, hehe shhh it’s a secret!

Today we had rain since morning I took these shots from our balcony just after the rain, can you see the colors of the trees, aren’t they lovely? I love to get up here just to enjoy the cool breeze while staring at those trees and having my afternoon coffee. I missed the birds and the flowers the summer beauties, but Im thankful what’s in front of my eyes, this season won’t be long so I better enjoy and not complain, then the cold freezing weather comes in, I might migrate somewhere warmer, can I stay at your place mga kabayan😅?

Another busy day here, we had two church services today, it’s a blessing tho🙏. Yesterday we drove 3 hours to Conway AR🇺🇸 to attend a birthday party of our relative. The party was held at the park, after the party were able to explore the place. That’s the fun thing I always look forward to
I took some photos of this historical replica of the Cordon Blockhouse built in the 18th century, where the early settlers -Osage Indians used this house as a place of refuge. Just neat to know a little about history, in the next photo you can read more about it.
In front of the house was the Buffalo river, where people go fishing and boating just for fun, but for sure it was very useful for the first Indian settlers and soldiers to lived in the house just close to the river.
Its fun experienced we got to see this place and of course we took selfie 😂thanks to my daughter my selfie buddy.❤️

Saturday favorite, Japanese Miso Tongkotsu Ramen, so glad we can have this here now in our area, we can just go and eat here anytime we like, I love to have ramen especially when the weather is cold, authentic Japanese ramen noodles is the best, the soup is savory and flavorful lots of toppings on it, a bit pricey about $14 but worth the money, I won’t be eating this everyday so don’t worry 😉 Ahahaha or I’ll be broke😂 once a month or twice will be enough! We had takoyaki too. Happy tummy here.

I love fall season, how the leaves changes it’s color from green to golden ,to orange and red. That’s the magic of nature how the creator puts His artistic mind in everything He created to give pleasure to us and displays His character.
I just dropped by the park after taking my daughter to school, I can’t resist the beauty of these Golden Maple trees along the streets, isn’t it lovely?

Goodbye Summer hello Fall! I’ll see these cuties next summer now that the weather starts to be super chilly almost freezing last night, the hummingbirds already migrated to somewhere warmer place, you might see it there in your area if you live in the tropical zone😅.
I took these shots last July after putting out the water for them, they were all day swirling around the feeder and just enjoying every sip they could get, but I have to watched out for ants they love the sweet water too and ended up drowning inside the feeder and clogging the holes, but it was fun feeding the hummingbirds. We had a beautiful summer time here. Now that it’s fall season it’s more exciting tho with the pumpkin spice, Halloween and Christmas coming!

Waterfalls is one of my favorite place to go to when hiking, this is the Alberta Falls at the Rocky Mountain National Park, it’s a short hike less than a mile, it wasn’t hard except it rained and was pouring hard when we climbed up, but we were prepared and rain can’t stopped us😂we had our poncho and made it ! though some from our group gave up while we were half way to the top and went back , but the blessing was the moment we got there the sky cleared out, and I was able to take tons of photos.. One thing funny when you’re at the Rockies, the rain is unpredictable so just be ready anytime have your poncho with you.
