Before or after Sozopol? Sozopol is the southernmost place where I was on the Bulgarian coast.
After it. There are plenty of wonderful places below it ;) I love Sinemoretz, it is a small village and especially beautiful is the narrow beach where the river meets the sea.
That's what I thought. I always wanted to see what is after Sozopol, now, thanks to you, I will also go to see Sinemoretz. I don't think so this year but next year for sure. Thank you again!
You're welcome! If everything is ok, or near "normal", I plan to go to Black Sea again in the autumn, I avoid going to the sea in the summers as it is always overcrowded, especially this year when more Bulgarians are have their vacations there. This time we'll cover the shores from Nesebar to Durankulak (the bird-watching lake that is very close to the border with Romania) ;)
Let's hope it goes well! I also prefer September for the sea, especially since I don't go to the beach anymore. I hope you have a beautiful trip to the Black Sea. I know about Durankulak, I saw the lake on the map, I haven't been there yet but I was very close to the beach at Shabla and I was impressed. It seems that time has stood still, with the remains of probably campsites and youth camps from the communist era. The beach and the sea, absolutely remarkable! For me, it is incomprehensible why, only 10-20 km from Romania, the Black Sea is so different and much more beautiful than in Romania ... of course, I can find some explanations but still, too much difference.
I guess Durankulak needs some preparation and research as I guess there will be some interesting birds only in some of the months, I don't know :) I know what you mean, my perception also changes a lot when I travel :) I was stunned by those strange, no, I would say weird pyramids in the park of Shabla and the contrast with the fishermen village nearby...
Yes, but the sea is very beautiful at Shabla. The food is good at the small tavern on the beach and the lack of hotels and everything that means tourism now makes the place very pleasant for those who love the sea.
