It was a yearly tradition at work to give something to everyone as a Christmas gift before the year ended. Doesn't need to be expensive; it's the thought that counts, right?
Last Friday, my workmate gave everyone a sweet treat! Yes, a cupcake each!
I am no longer into sweets but still a softy when it comes to food. Besides, it looks so delicious. Oh, you might wonder why I got two. Our group leader didn't report on-site, so I got hers. Pardon my messy table, though.
I got curious about where my officemate ordered this, and he said the bakeshop was just near our place. It looks so delicious, kasi. Mind you; it wasn't deceiving as it was! The icing was not that sweet but, rather, milky (malinamam). Even the cake too! Maybe looks only sweet because of the color.
Yes, I knew immediately, as it didn't take too long. I ate the other one while checking some reports!
It was still early so the admin is not yet roaming around which means safe to eat in the working area.
Though while eating, I was thinking what to buy as well. I had receive four presents already and told them I am pressured already..Hmm maybe I will buy some chocolates. This season really doesn't help in my goal of loosing weight. Sweets plus several dine out with officemate..
Speaking of which, last night an officemate of mine plan to have dinner at Amber. We just walked going to restaurant only to find out they don't cater dine in. Only take outs due to a lot of bulk orders from them.
We got no choice but to proceed at Kenny Rogers since it was the nearest one. Couldn't help but to notice how prices on the menu changes. Inflation, inflation. $4 is not enough to buy a meal.
Of all the fast food chains, Kenny is my favorite because I love the chicken, veggies and the gravy! Of course rice would always goes in the menu. Though the broccoli was overcooked, lol.
So, eating two pieces of cupcake earlier, not mention rice during lunch and these for dinner? My tummy was so full!
It actually took me a while to finish my meal , nakakaumay na! Yet, I grew up valuing foods so not my habit to have leftovers. That roasted chicken skin was yummy and since my officemates doesn't want to eat for health reasons, I got it.
Drinking cold drinks in a cold place makes us shiver so even though we are still full we both decided to leave. Just walk going to our dorm as it was only few minutes walk.
Actually, most of the time we chose to take a walk going home from the office as it was hard to get a ride nowadays. Maybe it was we are back to normal or Christmas is fast approaching. Many were going out for shopping , outing, get together and etc. You might managed to get a ride still you will be stack in a traffic. Bumper to bumper takes minutes before the car move. The ten minutes drive became an hour. So much better to walk, hitting not only two birds in a one stone but three;
**We saved some penny, stretched those muscles, and relieve our self from getting a ride plus traffic.**
Isn't a brilliant idea?
Finally we arrived home and it was only two of us at the dorm as all of our housemates decided to went home. That fine, we are used already. Not afraid of ghost but rather to humans that might not thinking right.
Anyways, that's how my day last Friday. Not too busy at work and enjoy some treats plus dinner after.

Aside from curtains, I bought 16 pieces of a dinnerware set. It consists of a mug, soup bowls, 7 inches and 10 inches flat dinner plates (4pcs each). My problem now is that it was a bit heavy, and I will be having a hard time bringing it home on the 24th of this month. For sure, a long queue of lines at the bus terminal, and I couldn't imagine myself standing waiting for my turn with a heavy bag.
What about a cooking set? How much does one nonstick pan costs? Goodness, I was relieved as it was hubby who volunteered to purchase a set. Then he will just ship it here through the Balikbayan box. (tipid sa budget).
What I still need to get now are the spoon and fork. My fellow Hivers in the Filipino community server will be having a virtual Christmas party this Friday. It was initiated by our community lead, Adam. There would be an exchange of gifts, and we could actually drop our Wishlist. I was overwhelmed with the thought, and I was quick enough to answer Mickey mouse items. Only to realize days after that, I should request some kitchen utensils instead. Awww! Excited much.
I did drop a message yet I do not know if the one who got my name would consider it. hehehe.
If ever not, then maybe I will just purchase good for four sets at Miniso. The last time I visited the Store I have inspect and checked some of the mentioned products. Price range from $3.22 for two pieces up. It has two designs which is the usual stainless steel and with wooden handle.
Which one do you think? Won't decide for now as, who knows, my S.P. might consider giving me one, hehe; my address, complete name, and even my contact number were already forwarded to him/her. To be honest, I don't want to know as I want to be surprised!
Hay, there are so many to be purchased pa, and it funny how my choices when I went window shopping now change. Instead, at the department store of Watsons, I now went into home essentials. Trying to look for some things and canvassing the price so that I could purchase it next time.
Both were shopping, but I tell you, the joy was different. I know those who are already married here would understand me. Instead of buying a tube of lipstick, I would rather buy maybe a doormat, lol.
How about you guys? How is life at your end? We are almost at the mid-month of December and couldn't help but reminisce last year. When this platform was on hype, several users hosted writing contests. I was still new at that time, but I managed to join a few.
Also, I was wondering where are my friends here before. Why did you guys leave without saying goodbye? I had a feeling I was ditched, and I didn't like it. Or perhaps, it was only me who considered them as my friend but at their end? Well, maybe not.
That's life anyway; people come in goes which reminds me that Ms. Mhel, one of my close friends at work, my travel and food buddy filed a resignation today. She got a job offer from another company as a Senior accountant. I am happy for her as, indeed, it was career growth, but at the same time, I am sad. That is one of the reasons why I usually build a wall for everyone. I mean, I did not want to get closer as I knew the time would come they would eventually leave. Tsssk, I just failed this time.
Maybe, I should go back to what I am used to. No close friends aside from my siblings, yes I considered them as my best friend.
So yeah, let's just be an "ACQUAINTANCE**"**.

Why does the way we dress contribute to how our fellows treat us? This thought has been running into my mind as I have witnessed several times how some people were treated based on their physical appearance. It may be sad, but that's the reality.
I even had an officemate who was not fond of dressing up for a purpose. There was a time we went grocery shopping, and he was only wearing slippers and a tattered shirt. Yes! A shirt, not pants. It was **an OLD TATTERED** shirt and could even be passed as a rug to some. He loves experimenting with how he will be treated with his OOTD ( outfit of the day). I found the thought crazy, but he has a point, as I can see how people were sometimes surprised when he started talking. He seldom speaks Tagalog, lol. Even though we are just having a normal conversation outside the office, he is still speaking in English, take note, with American Accent! Imagine people's reactions.
With that, sometimes I adapt his ways as we are often together. Well, I usually dress depending on where I am going too. One weekend, as I planned to visit a salon I shared on another blogging platform, I was wearing shorts, sandals, and a tote bag.
Funny as somehow I experienced being less in priority. I was waiting for my hair since I avail for hair treatment. I told one staff that I wanted to have my nails cleaned. There was no manicurist available at the moment, so I was instructed to wait. However, what I didn't expect was they chose to entertain the newly comers instead of me. No, I am sure they don't have an appointment. Well, it could be the way they dress.
I was annoyed and even ranted in our Discord server at Hiveph. Telling @Jijisaur that maybe they thought I didn't have money to pay since I only had a tote bag, and they were holding a branded bag! YEYEMEN ang PEG!
I had already decided not to avail of the service, but one of the manicurists approached me. She did a good job and, indeed, deserves some treats.
I feel good with my red nails that even match the color branding of the fast food where I chose to eat lunch. No, not in Jollibee; it's in Bonchon. I love their fried chicken in garlic flavor.
It was past lunchtime already, yet there were several customers walked in. Thus, I was surprised to see there was only one crew. She was the one taking orders, serving, and dishing out. With so much busyness, I was expecting her to be grumpy, yet I was surprised she was not! Even manage to greet new customers while smiling. Yes, though she is wearing a mask, I can see in her eyes that she is smiling.
It took a long time before my order was served, but I didn't have the heart to be mad at her even though I was already starving. Like how can I? Seeing her trying her best to cater to all the customers was enough reason for me to keep my mouth shut.
Finally, my order arrived, along with some treats. Here I am again with that motto, "I deserve a treat,"; which makes me inspired to eat more. Hehe, it is always hard to resist food. Food is life!

I was about to sleep when suddenly, I heard my phone beep indicating I received a message. I took my phone and saw there was a new message in our group chat at Telegram. When I opened I saw it was Jane, and she sent a link of Cashrain. It was only the other week when my officemates were got scam so I was hesitant at first to give a try. Yet the thought that it was Jane was enough. lol. She was indeed an reliable source.
I open the link and sign up while I am lying on my bed. After a minute I was so engrossed exploring . Joining several communities, watching there shared videos and reading tweets until I fell asleep.
I don't know how long I'd been sleeping but I was awaken by several notifcations on my phone. ( I forgot to off the wifi not set in on silent mode). With my eyes closed, I just strecth my hands and took my phone at the bedside table. I couldn't look at it directly because with too much light.
Thus, my eyes suddenly grew bigger after I saw a lot of notification from my bitcoin wallet! **Like it BCH was raining!** I couldn't believe it. Demn it was legit. I get up and sit on my bed as I wanted how much BCH I accumulated. Hmmp, my internet was crawling , it keeps on connecting that prevents me in viewig my latest balance. There is no apparent reason; it only happened all of a sudden. When I gained myself back, I opened the discord server and was glad I did. Joining them in a voice call was indeed the right decision. Wittyzel and the rest of them made my night. Could not help but laugh with all the craziness. We usually hang out every Friday.
Though I woke up late the next day, I was still able to accomplish all the lineup chores. Even published in the blogging platform I joined. Can't believe I was so productive!
For today, after some chatting decided to clean my room. Segregate some things I seldom use as I am planning to bring them home. I happened to see these.
This is my favorite bag, not because the design is Mickey mouse, but it was a gift from Myloves. Thus, I stopped using it; as you can see, the sling was no longer okay. It can still be used without those, but I am not comfortable, so GIRLY!
Since I had nothing to do, I checked my old bag, which I no longer used. Then cut it to get the hook. While looking, I found my old mickey mouse keychain.
I forgot who gave this to, but I remember this is a "pasalubong." I attached this to my coin purse, but the metal chain got broken. Didn't throw it cause I was thinking of repairing thus, it totally slipped my mind. Not until today.
Finally found what I was looking for and didn't waste time. Sewing was not a problem. Got a kit.
I may not be a good cook, but I can sew. Growing up in the countryside and having an old fashion granny, it was indeed a shame if you were not good at it. Yes, I have a lot of needles. You know, been wanting to practice witchcraft, kidding!
Took only a few minutes, and I was done!

The day is still long, and I have nothing to do since I committed that I would be serious this time in losing weight. Decided to go downstairs, took the Skywalker equipment, and started stretching those muscles in my legs and arms. I brought my phone with me and played some upbeat Zumba songs for motivation. One, two, three, four minutes, I am already running out of breath. Gosh, I'd been resting for too long!
I badly wanted to quit, but no more malingering; focus on my goal, which is to lose 5kgs.
Thus, I didn't shock my body, so I did only 1500 counts.
I shared this photo in our GC at discord, and Mebu told me that I should run first for at least 30 minutes before starting to burn calories. Totally forgot that but surely will be doing that next time!
For now, will be increasing my physical activities until my body adjusted.

If there is one thing I regret that I discovered, that is the existence of cryptos. Know, one of my friends was into trading or blogging. Thus thankful when one time, while waiting for our names to be called during our annual medical examination, an officemate introduced to me noise cash.
So yes, bitcoin cash was the first crypto I discovered. BCH was in the hype then, yet only a small amount as I started. After months of being active and almost after a year, I started writing here in read cash during my free time. Slowly I accumulated some BCH from the upvotes and reached 1BCH.
However, I just let my BCH stays idle in my wallet. I didn't convert into fiat; thus, I don't trade. Now looking back, I regret those chances I missed. Yet on the other side, it somehow saved me from heartaches.
Only this past month, I downloaded binance and wanted to thank @ Ruffa for patiently teaching me.
I deposited a total of 0.43 BCH in my binance account which came from my bitcoin wallet.
I am totally clueless how it works and I am always impatient waiting for my order or buy limit to be filled. In which sometimes led to cancelation and adjusting the Price. After that I would scold myself. Still I am thankful as it might be slow, at least I am earning.
As per checking my wallet today, I already had 0.52 BCH.

It was a month ago when an officemate ask me to join in his referral in a certain app. The scenario was like this;

You can withdraw after you mined a minimum of $10 ( I need clarification with the amount).
Withdrawn amount is automatically converted into local currency.
It will be deposited in users Gcash account.
JJust after his explanation, I knew right away it was a scammed. I told him there is no such thing nor a certain app that could give you a fixed percentage of profit in a specific number of days. Too good to be true; it was not true.
However, he insisted it was legit as he already withdraws some of his earnings. Of course, that's one of their strategies.
Not until yesterday............................................!
I heard two of my officemates talking about the scam, as, indeed, they got scammed. I was surprised 90% of them joined the app using the referral link of our officemates too. Now, when they are trying to withdraw, the status is Pending. Until..................
What they called consultants left their group chat on WhatsApp. Then the app also diminished. Just like that, their hard-earned money was gone. I gave them the " I told you so expression."
If only they listen to me. One of them even invested more than $350 before all the chaos happened; they availed of a promo.
Wow, what a strategy so that many will going to join.
Now one of them was so stressed thinking about his losses and also how to explain to all his recruits what happened. He had around seventy recruits.
My God, I can't believe them.

Everytime I traveled going home in my husband's hometown I always opted to sit near the window.
I love to see the green pastures along side of the road which was the opposite of what I saw everyday in the city.
Somehow my longing with my hometown was temporarily gone.

Successfully brought Minnie Home.
Since the day I received Minnie as a gift, oh, I was referring to Minnie mouse; I badly wanted her to bring home. Thus, it was at the pandemic's peak when my husband gave that to me. Thanks to online transactions. Aside from that, our house still needs to be finished. She was still homeless.
Without a choice, she just shared with me, and it was only a single bed, and I am not that petite sometimes; it was too small for us. She was not that small too.
When the house was done, the first thing that came to my mind was bringing her where she belonged. However, every time I went home, I had a lot in my bag, so getting her would indeed be a hassle. It was only last weekend when I decided not to stop in any shop and buy anything but her. My first option was to rent a carpool for our convenience, but when I checked, that would cost me $17.45! The bus fare is only $3.25 plus FX and jeep, which is $0.44.
If I didn't have other things to buy, that was fine, but not this time. So I decided to commute.
As I stepped out of our gate while having Minnie in my arms, I caught the attention of several people. One even shouted, " Akin na lang yan!" ( ***Let me have that***). I smiled, but I was saying, " ***in your dreams***." at the back of my mind.
Our dorm was not far from the highway, so after a few minutes, I was already riding in an FX to the bus terminal. OMG, Minnie, you are quite fat too! We won't fit in the seat. The guy beside me smiled and even helped me to hold her. Maybe he was amused.

Yes, no traffic since it was the weekend. I arrived at the terminal earlier than expected. There were only a few passengers, so I could choose a seat I wanted. Supposedly I would let Minnie have a seat on the bus than pay for it, but there were a lot of passengers. Those who no longer had space and were supposed to stand throughout the journey seemed glaring at me! LOL. So I took her and put her in my lap.
I was sleepy, so after paying for my ticket, I leaned back on the chair and hugged Minnie. I fell to sleep. I felt comfortable that I woke up after an hour. As I look around the window, we are already approaching the province.
It seemed it was going to rain as I looked into the sky. The bus driver was driving too fast that I could feel like every time he passed by in humps. Was he in a hurry? Well, I am not!
Thus I was in a good mood, so I didn't bother to call his attention and leaned back into my seat and slept again.
I don't know how long I was sleeping, but I woke up by the conductor's voice informing us we had already arrived at our destination. I went down, and I wasn't spared the crowd's attention again.
A few steps were the parking space of the jeepney going into my husband's hometown. Good thing the shotgun seat was still available. I didn't hesitate to take the sit and place Minnie beside me. I told the driver I would be paying with her fare. He just looked at me with amused eyes. Whatever Kuya!
I kept updating my husband as he is always like that. He won't sleep every time I travel, going home not unless I am picked up by his brother at the unloading and arrive safely. ( *he is working in night shift*).
It was a little bit rainy, so indeed convenient that someone was waiting for me to drive me from the unloading to our house.
At last, I arrived home safe and sound. Demn, I was already starving; I hadn't eaten anything before and during the whole travel. Thankful sister-in-law cooked my favorite- PANCIT! She was a good cook, so I got a satisfied tummy after.
Now time to arrange the bed for Minnie.
And this little kid kept on messing with me. He was my husband's nephew and my one and only Godson. Every time I went home, he always tagged along with me. Maybe because I always bribed him with ***pasalubong***.
After some negotiations with him, he finally left the bed and let me do my things. After a while, I finally placed Minnie into her bed. This time it was much more considerable, so we both fit.
One down! I still have two to bring "***Tweety and Teddy***."
Tweety was a prize we won at the amusement park (*Enchanted Kingdom*) the last time we celebrated our first wedding anniversary.
Meanwhile, Teddy was a gift from my husband too. He was left in Iloilo, so I was still saving for his Airfare. haha

Window shopping for Home Essentials.
In previous years, I always looked for new dresses, shoes, bags, or other accessories whenever I went shopping. I may be into budgeting 101, but still, I am a woman who loves to shop. I could even spend the whole day. Though with only a few items bought. I was peaky, and of course, prize matters too, that is why I would hop from one shop to another—looking for something affordable yet good quality.
Thus, these past months my interest has changed. If you take a look at my shopping cart in online shopping installed on my phone, all you can see are Home Essentials. Demn! I was so excited to go shopping, " ***pera na lng kulang***" lol. For a while, I am just doing some window shopping virtually.
As I have mentioned, the husband and I have already divided the expenses for our home. He is in charge of buying the furniture and I for the home essentials. As of the writing, I have already purchased a sala set; the dining set was already delivered earlier. I will share about it next time.
So earlier, after office hours, I opted to visit the night market at Pasig to check some curtains. I needed five sets. I am curious if I have mentioned it already here, but I did canvass at SM Megamall. One curtain costs around $12, and I need at least three for one window. That was already out of my budget. I decided to go to the night market, as I am rooting for our local small entrepreneurs.
The one that I will be visiting is the LITERAL WET MARKET. Thus 2nd and 3rd floor was allotted for dry goods. The latter was open only every Friday, scheduled night market.
As I climbed to the second floor, I noticed that some stalls were already closed as it was past six in the evening. Thus on the 3rd floor, the night only started.
When I looked down, it seemed everyone was already packing up. Their long day was almost over.
Hey, have you tried eating in canteens at the wet market? Me? Yes, I did. Foods are delicious, too, and much cheaper rather than eating at fast food chains.
Then I happened to pass by these small tailor shops. I saw a curtain displayed similar to what I am eyeing to buy at Shoppe. I asked the staff for the price, and she offered $13.97 for one set. I checked the fabric, and it was okay. Yet it was too long for windows. I asked her if it was possible to cut, and she ans
I am the type of person who wouldn't purchase immediately. Always opted to roam around and look for other display.
Prices in other shops are almost the same not until saw these .
Each curtain also costs $5.24, meaning a set will cost $15.72. Just like in previous merchandizes, it was also long. What I needed is only about 6 feet long. As we further talked and did some "negotiations," he offered the price of $13.97 for one set. Free service if I wanted to cut it short. Then the excess fabric will be converted into a small curtain which I need for the window above our lavatory.
Initially, I didn't have the plan to put curtains here, but the husband insisted. He reasoned that someone might peek out the window and might see me while wearing indecent clothes. Seriously? The window facing his brother's house wall aside from it was high. However, to end up the conversion, I agreed.
What an excellent offer. So I told him I would be back at the end of the month to purchase. I am still thinking of getting the gray-white color or the gold. Or there may be new designs that are plain and basic. I could improve mixing and matching, so I always use safe color combinations.
Oh, these are not "total blackout curtains." The latter is almost $8 each. Yet, who knows, I can get some discounts too. I will need that for our bedroom.
One of the reasons why I love shopping in markets. You can make " ***tawad***" ( negotiations for the price you wanted). Unlike in malls, prices are fixed. I am getting better at asking for ***tawad.***

It's been almost six days since the big sale of 11.11 on all online platforms here in our country; Lazada and Shoppe. Though I still prefer traditional shopping as I want to see the item before purchasing. Thus, I've been using this product somehow and tried to find the nearest distributor in my place. I bought are Vitamin E moisturizer. As you know, I am not getting younger, so somehow I need extra care with my skin, lol. The other one was Sunscreen gel -cream. It was not supposed to be my order, but BB-tinted. They are both moisturizer anyway. Yet, I don't have a choice, as returning a product in exchange for another item will only be a hassle.
I maybe not be that peaky when it comes to food or other things, but when it comes to my face, I am. Well, I don't have a choice; got sensitive skin, ~~thanks to my Father's genes.~~ Sometimes this is where I spent much sad life. I envied those who don't need anything applied to their face to maintain clear skin. *Safeguard lng sapat na.*
Also, the previous week, I went for a window shopping of furniture's for our home. I was planning to buy sala set and dining that colors should be in family of brown; caramel, chocolate brown, etc. However, these catches my attention.
The black color is lovely. Our house was built in one compound with my husband's siblings, and there are toddlers, which I need to consider. I couldn't reprimand them if they messed inside my house; they were just kids. So having dark-colored furniture would be fine.
The staff entertained me and gave me his number as he said I could send him queries if I decided to purchase those. He took my number too.
So last Monday, I was surprised when he called me to ask if I wanted to purchase the sala set. He even offered to give me a discount with a total of $26 plus free shipping. Initially, I was hesitant as the offer was so good to be true! I might end up being scammed. I told him I was not at home so that I couldn't pay him. What surprised me is he answered that it was fine. I could pay him later in the following days thru online banking.
I can't help but ask myself, was he serious? I informed my sister-in-law to receive the item and check. It might have been damaged, so he offered it at a lower price. I was also thankful, as she didn't hesitate . It was almost seven in the evening.
Never expect the item was in good condition! I saved almost $35 from the actual price.
My in-laws were surprised and the same time, excited for us, and they visited our house. Yes, not only one received and checked the items. They all came in full force!
Upon the approval of them, I paid the agent the next day. Then he told me to wait for the dining set. He will delivered it too and again I got a discount with a total of almost $44.
It was supposed to be delivered yesterday but we didn't agreed in time. As of now I am waiting for his availability. It was a big convenience in my part as I don't need to revisit their shops. Sometimes online shopping was also an excellent idea.
Though I was wondering why he offered my a discounted price. I chatted their FB page and the customer service told me they don't offers "DISCOUNTS".
When I asked he told me, he ordered it like " employee's purchase order". I don't know the percentage of discounts but one thing I am sure if HE EARNED.
Now I am planning to visit night market this coming Friday to check some curtains. It was not practical to purchase at the mall. Too expensive for me. Besides local products of small entrepreneur's are also nice and durable. It was even in trend.

It is now November 16, so the processing process took only five days. That was acceptable to me.

I was missing in action for days as I was busy with life outside the platform, the online world. My body was screaming for rest, and my eyes were begging me to sleep. My eyebags say so.
On the weekend, I spent it working yet OVERTIME. Well, I need money as I have so much on my mind to buy our house. I want to go shopping but don't have enough budget. That is the reason why I need to keep grinding.

Hey, I'm still here; update after days of my absences.
Hey, yah, Read cash, family! Here I am again after a long day of my absence. The company I am working with is slowly returning to normal, and if you guys remember, I've mentioned before that my weekend is usually packed. Sometimes I am on fieldwork as we conduct branch inventories or spot audits. This weekend, after almost three years, the management decided to proceed with the inventory in one branch nearest the office.
I have no plan to join, as I know it will be tiring. Yet, I was surprised when the team leader informed me last Friday that I was included in the workforce! Shemms, he won't accept "NO"! Not only that, but my Boss was also with us, as she is unfamiliar with the process.
We started yesterday, Saturday, and I was right. Demn! It was so tiring. The warehouse was until the 3rd floor. If you fear height, it would be challenging as the floor was not cement or wooden but Grills. The stairs were made of steel, as seen on fire exits.
The only good thing was there was enough workforce, so I am optimistic we will be done by tomorrow.
At lunch break, it seemed my officemates were all starving and forgot to call me for lunch. With that, I didn't have a choice but to eat alone. My feet brought me to the nearest fast food chain. As expected, the specialty is chicken! Yet I am already famished, so I ordered one serving. I didn't wait too long; it was served with free hot soup! Perfect! CHOW!
After a while, a customer sitting at the table next to me complained to the crew serving their orders;
Customer: *Why was the halo-halo already served? Isn't it was supposed later? Will I be eating first.*
Crew: *( he speaks in a low voice so I can't hear what he is saying)*
Customer: *Oh, every day, you should be aware of that! ( still ranting)*
My inner Marites of me was summoned, so I stopped eating for a while and looked at the complaining customer. Then I realized why the hell she was complaining. I mean, she is eating fast food. What does she expect? Of course, all orders will be served together. Now, why not eat in a fine-dining restaurant if she wanted her way?
Ahhh, sometimes, I could not understand these types of people!
I urged to butt in was so strong as I wanted to slap her with reality but I am starving. Knowing myself and the words comes out from my mouth I might put myself in trouble. So I continued eating while silently telling myself, ( *maka attitude akala mo kagandahan!*)

The Saturday worked well, and we are almost done. Just some paper works. Encoding and system adjustments. I was busy doing such when suddenly my officemate told me;
Him: *Les, maybe we could meet earlier at the branch or when I am still single; you become one of my Girlfriends.*
Me: *Huh? and how sure you are I would accept you?*
Boss: *(laughing) haha, so Sir, Type mo si Les.? ( Do you like Les?)*
Him: *Hmm, yeah, and she was pretty!*
Me: *I chose not to comment anymore to end the conversation. It was quite awkward! Then I remembered he always says I am pretty ( don't believe as I am NOT!) and expressed his admiration. Though he delivered it like joking, half meant.*
Sometimes, he offered to drive me home or fetch me in the morning, but I always declined his offer. I know he is such a playboy, plus he is MARRIED!

Common Misconceptions in having an OFW partner.
Overseas Filipino workers, commonly known as OFW, my fellow Filipinos chose to leave our homeland and try their luck in other countries. It might be hard for them as they leave their loved ones with a heavy heart; they pursue what is planned with nothing brought with them aside from courage and skills. They hope to earn more to reach their dreams. One of those is the Family! A good life for them.
Many who doesn't know what is the real life of OFWs's. You might see on their social media post that they are happy and enjoying life, but behind those smiles, there is sorrow. Some would always say, " ***wow may abroad, dami pera***." Ahh, if only they knew.
Honestly, even though I used to have that mindset, not until I found myself in the situation. Some of you might know already that my husband is working in Taiwan. He left before the pandemic hit worldwide. Well, it was not his first time, but rather a second contract. We were working in the same company before, but when we started our relationship, he decided to file a resignation for one reason; for our future. We didn't earn much as we were only minimum wage earners then. Since he wanted to have us married and have our own home, he left the country. That was the year 2015, I think. Back to the topic, what I am sharing now with you are usual misconceptions for those who had an OFW partner;
***Financially Stable*** - Seriously, this is the most overrated. Let me be clear being an OFW was never a stable job. Yes, earnings might be more considerable than here in our country, but this person should realize that they only work by contract. Once the contract ended and I decided to go home for good, it was not that easy to find a job here. With that thought, they should have savings and investments for the future.
Also, many think that once you work outside the country automatically, you have a lot of money! The hell where did they get that notion? Sad to say, but sometimes, family and relatives started to demand this and that—even friends. Not only once I experienced being requested by someone for a treat, donations, borrowing money, etc. When I declined and reasoned out that I didn't have an extra, most of them wouldn't believe me.
"***Your husband is working abroad! Common Les, don't be stingy***".
See? So they expect me to spend my husband's hard-earned money on them? I am not stingy; just managing my expenses. I don't want my better half to go home seeing NOTHING from the fruit of his labor!
***Hayahay (comfortable ) life*** - Am I? financially, I may am not struggling; maybe because I have work and we don't yet have a kid. Yet it doesn't mean that life is like that. Honestly, it was hard! Not all the time; it's only about money ( *though it is necessary, especially not with high inflation*). Most of the time, I find weekend and night blues. It was tiring to talk with myself; OMG!
I don't have someone to talk with when I am not emotionally okay. I opted not to share that thought as I didn't want to bother him. Even when I am sick, I still have no choice but to get my ass off the bed. See? How can I have a comfortable life if I am longing for his ***"comfort"***? Charr. This started in the 1970s at Bulacan, but the owner was from Bicol, Philippines. No wonder I didn't know this chocolate existed until today.
I recommend this; it's not expensive, but I can guarantee it's delicious.
What's for lunch?
I was trying to cut the rice servings in my every meal. Just wanted to be healthy. I am fond of eating and hard to resist yummy foods.
So I came to an idea of not depriving myself but pick only less carbs🤣.
For today, got veggies (saluyot, alugbati and celery) paired with Longganisa. Got some banana to and sliced cucumber maybe for snacks later😁.
Hoping I can managed my cravings.
Been thinking about how to get my teddy back home to the province. As you see, it was quite big, almost human size. I inquired in the nearest logistic company the last time I went home; it cost around $35! From Iloilo to Batangas. I could not let this go as this was a gift from my Husband ( back then when we were still in BF & GF stage).
Perhaps, I need to save some penny for the teddy airfare, lol.
Who believes in zodiac signs?
I am not a fanatic but somehow some of the characters discussed were somehow true. So there are times that I am approaching someone based on her/his zodiac sign. Do you think it was fair? Maybe not but I am not being judgmental here. Just a basis as I say.
As for me? got that Snake sign. After reading the description I can say some are true. I am like that, maybe financially fortunate.

Simple Family Affair, foods and Random thoughts.
I wanted to share this event but got busy after returning to the city. I was slightly inactive on the blogging platforms I joined; often, I am MIA, lol. I don't have a plan to write today as these past few weeks I always felt tired ahmm aging? Of the laziness in me triggered?
Seriously, I was quite tired today; my wrist hurt after spending seven hours and forty minutes talking with different individuals and processing their payments. Supposedly today was my rest day, but since it falls on the 5th of the month (our collection day), I don't have a choice but to work. The management entrusted me with the company Gcash accounts where our clients could send their payments. Only me and my Boss (group head) had access. Somehow I felt proud upon knowing at first that it would be my additional task. Why? I was proof that I had gained the owner's trust. Now? If someone assumed the job, I would gladly endorse it. The heck, it was so demanding.
I successfully processed 150 transactions today, which involves encoding the payments in our system. No wonder my wrist hurts. Got a busy day to the point I wasn't able to eat snacks; as of the writing, I am already starving!
When I checked the time, it passed seven in the evening, so I planned to prepare some oatmeal for dinner. Thus, after a conversation with my hubby, I changed my mind;
**Me**: *I just finished my work; I felt so tired! My back and wrist hurt. My stomach is growling, but I no longer want to go outside to look for food. Perhaps I will have some oatmeal.*
**Him**: *Why oatmeal? You almost spent the whole day working, common treat yourself. Just order at food panda or grab. What do you want? Lasagna?*
**Me:** *Naa, I don't want to spend buying food delivery today. I don't have enough penny till next payday.*
**Him:** *No problem, I will be sending you money tomorrow. Common, get up, buy your food what the used of working here if you get starve.*
See? He was a Big temptation! I tried to reason out as I didn't want to eat more carbs at night. Yet, he kept convincing me... What do you expect? I am an obedient wife, so I took my phone and opened the ***Food Panda app.***
While waiting for my order to be delivered, and since I am mumbling about food, let me share with you today some happenings during my vacation. Yeah, it is all about food too.!!
My sister went home with me and was the family "***Apple of the Eye***." No, I am not kidding, as she was really. She was everyone's favorite and got the "MOST" of all. Most beautiful, kind-hearted. More intelligent, etc. With all the positive traits she had, no wonder why she got that title.
It's okay, though; I am old enough to understand that there was always a favorite. It might be work, in the family, or even in our circle of friends. That's fine with me, at least for my husband; ****I am his favorite.****
So since Ate ( how I address my older sister ) was at home, the family decided to have a small celebration. Just lunch. We set a date when all my siblings are available from their work. My father planned the menu together with my other sisters and me? All I did to give my share, haha what can you expect? Cooking is not my forte.

This is the iconic Filipino menu; chicken (tastes better if native ), papaya or sayote, moringa, and lemon grass ( to add aroma).
We have a lot of chicken at home, so Father just slaughtered some.

Of course, we wouldn't miss this famous Ilonggo dish! Ingredients are Pork, pigeon peas, and jackfruit. Yes, the latter mentioned might be a fruit, but in my area Vizmin (Visayas and Mindanao), it was cooked for viand. You choose if you want to add string beans or sigarilyas.

This is one of my favorites, too, but not the pork part: just the fried banana and the carrots. The sauce was a little bit sweet too.
Then my other sister just bought letchon manok and liempo.
We also have some fruits, a basket of Rambutan.
Too much food? It was not, as we are one big Happy family. Didn't I mention I have seven siblings? Plus, their better halves and children. This food is just enough for us.
However, we didn't expect one of my sisters to buy one DIRTY Ice cream too! We forgot to inform her that we already order one for the kids. It was not just a gallon but like a cart. Is anyone here familiar with it?
This is what I am talking about, too much ice cream. It's my favorite, but a cup for me now is enough.
