The Mother of Biak-na-bato. Trinidad Tecson

When Trinidad was 47 years old, she joined the revolutionary army of the Philippines - The Katipunan in the year of 1895. She helped to aid the guardian civil in capturing ammunition and and firearms. Lately, she decided to make an organization of woman to nurse the sick and wounded Filipino army during the battle with the Spanish army. She then was called as the "Mother of Biak-na-bato" and "Mother of the Philippine Red Cross" because the Americans recognizes her work as a nurse of the Filipinos.
