Student Athlete Signing Off
Hey everyone! How's your day going?
When I was in high school, it's always been my dream to really join a basketball women team, but my Mother doesn't allow me to join heavy sports due to my health condition when I was young. I get sick easily because I have a small heart, so I shouldn't be overtired. But as I grew older, my heart also grew until it became normal, but my parents still did not make me too tired to prevent any health problem.
Until I went to college, I was excited because the university I enrolled in, had a basketball women's varsity. I was very happy because I would finally be a part of a sport that I had wanted to participate in for a long time. When I informed my parents that I would join, they were hesitant to allow me, until little by little I proved to them that my body was capable already.
Because our house was far from the school, I had to wake up at 4:30 am for our basketball try-out, I went to school early for training, and to enhance my playing skills. I was very surprised when I joined the first training, because my teammates seemed to be not women because they were really good at playing that's why I was more motivated to train even though sometimes I was too lazy to wake up in the morning.
Until we joined a game, and I was really nervous during my first game because I might just get punched by the opponents because they were tall and big while I was skinny. We had a good match, we didn't even win, at least we were first runner up and had a cash prize. I was very happy because I really enjoyed the basketball game.
I can say that it is really not easy to be a student athlete because you have to give your time, be disciplined in the food you eat, be physically active and most of all balance time in training and studying.
An awarding ceremony was held earlier for the graduate student athletes. It is an honor to be a part of our University's varsity team, so I am very grateful for our recognition earlier. I will miss my memories as a basketball player and I will always remember the guidance and lessons I learned as a student athlete.

Using My Talent To Glorify God
Have a blessed Sunday to all of you! How are you? I hope each and every one are doing good.
Before I got a job, I always prayed that if a God will give me a job, I hope that its schedule would not hinder me from attending choir practice every Saturday. It was then I was a working student when I was still in my third year of college, my time and schedule were not really good and my workplace was far from our church, I didn't have time to practice and couldn't go to church every Sunday. That's why today, I am very thankful to God because he gave me a job where I can continue to serve him, lead a song and join the choir.
Why am I so desperate to serve in our church? Because what I have is given by God so I will use it in the right way and in which He will glorify.
I have been singing for several years, and thank God because He never fails me every time I lead the congregation in our church service, the Holy Spirit really there for me every time I sing, God really uses me to blessed His children.
Before became an active member in our church, I was actually participating in the audition, one time I joined The Voice Philippines, that time I was taken in step 1, but when they asked me to proceed to step 2, they told me that I needed get ready 10 songs, 5 tagalog songs and 5 english songs. I wasn't able to prepare that much because the one I sang in step I only prepared two songs, that's why I just went home and didn't continue. There were instances that I wanted to participate in singing contests but I realized too late that maybe I am not really for contests, my voice is really for the Lord because it comes from Him and I will use it for Him as well.
Earlier, there are some people proceeded with water baptism and because our choir director was gone because she was busy with things to do in church every Sunday, I was the only one who took the lead in singing. And I'm happy because even though the others I led to sing were adults, they let me lead them and sing along with the song.
Before I forgot fo mention, our church has a church ministry called Sunset Christian Fellowship and many young people there have the gift of singing, and they also have a choir there that's why the church leaders assigned me to be the choir director of the young people I also teach them how to use their talent correctly and who should be glorified.

God's Timing Is Perfect
Have you ever tried to wait for a long time? What are the things you wish would happen? What were the struggles you experienced before the arrival of what you have been waiting for a long time? How do you deal with things you want to get what you want right away?
He is Shane, we have been dating for a few months now. I've never had a boyfriend before because I promised my parents and my sister that I would finish school before entering into a relationship, I've met many men before.
There was a man who made my heart skip a beat, I waited for years for him to court me. And the sad thing is how many times I told him how much I love him, but how many times he rejected me. I felt so much pain then, I was crazy about him, I couldn't entertain another man because he is the one I want to be with. Until I surrendered everything to God last year, I focused more on my studies and focused more on serving God, I was happy because of my friends and I felt that many people love me and I waited for the right time for God to give me the right person.
Until..
My friend at church introduced me to two of his acquaintances who were in other countries, at first I accepted it just for fun and also to practice my English communication. It didn't work with the first guy that my friend introduced, we only chatted for a few days, because I didn't really understand him because he was saying a lot and our personalities weren't compatible with each other, that's why the next guy who chatted with me was Shane , I don't pay much attention to him because maybe they just the same. I replied to him every 3 days until I realized that he is a very good person, his patience is high, he has a lot of faith in God until we slowly got to know each other.
This is the first time we had a video call, I almost dropped the call because it was embarrassing the first time I talked like this.
Right now, we are really waiting for the right time that the Lord will give us to meet in person, sometimes he cries and so do I because our distance from each other is very complicated, hopefully before the end of the year he will be able to come here to the Philippines. On the other hand, during our video calls, we always pray to God for that. We love each other, that's why we have a lot of confidence that we will also meet at the right time because we believe that God's timing is perfect.

Friends that Eat and Pray Together, Stay Together
Today we will say goodbye for a while to a friend of ours who is going to Vietnam with his fiancee and that's why she decided to treat us to a restaurant before she leaves. Of course we will miss her, because when we have bible study and gatherings with friends, she is always the host. She is Anne, she is a very good person and she likes to help and give things that other people need, especially us who are her friends.
It was my first time to eat at the Swiss deli restaurant, I really didn't expect that the food there was so expensive and of course their food was delicious so it was worth what our friend paid, I really like the vegetables that are served and I accept it with my mouth. even though I don't like vegetables.
While we were eating, we had a short devotional about how much God loves us, because no matter what personalities and characters we have, He still uses them to glorify Him, sometimes we think that no one loves us. for us, no one cares about us and no one listens to us it is not really true because there is someone who loves us more, no one but God alone.
Of course we did not forget to pray for our friend before she went to another country, we pray for protection and guidance for them on their way to Vietnam that God will never leavea them wherever they go and hopefully keep Anne's baby healthy. God is very good to Anne because I really witnessed how He changed Anne's life, she has a different life than she had before.
The cakes we have tasted are very good, because they are not too sweet and they do not smell bad. We have a friend who can't eat too many sweet foods because she gets dizzy when she eats too much. I really enjoyed bonding and talking with my friends earlier, the food was very good and I learned a lot, in a friendship one should not forget to pray for each other.

Hi everyone! It's my first time to write and post here. How are you? I hope you are doing good.
First of all, I would like to introduce myself. I'm Sheilia, 22 years old and a fresh college graduate. Just before I started working, I realized a lot after graduating. If the projects and requirements in a school are difficult, it is even more difficult when you are already working especially when you have just started.
I will meet new people, and I know there will be a lot to learn in the coming months. I worked hard to save and get a job in the USA. It has always been my dream to go abroad to work and have my own family. Yes, you read it right. I've been dating to someone who currently live in US now, that's why I am really working hard now to get a visa and meet him.
I am also planning to create a business soon, in God's perfect time. I have so many plans when it comes to that. But I will really need to save more money to follow my dreams. I am currently looking for a night shift job, because after work I want to do something that is productive.
In my past job experience, when I was first year college I started to work on a seasonal job in Goldilocks as a service crew, and when I was third year college I became a working student and I worked as Front Desk Officer in a hotel, it only took 5 months because I really need to focus on my studies and internship. From that experiences, I have learned so much such as how to be patient, how to easily adapt and how to give the customers a quality service. Praying for this journey that God will continue guide and protect me.
