Hearts for Love When COVID began, I was stuck at home🏠 because of an antibody disorder. I wanted to help others who were having a hard time with COVID or other issues. I began making glass hearts that I call pocket hearts. I am a glass artist and I do glass🫗 fusion-I put layers of glass in a kiln and fire it to 1480 F. The layers fuse together. When I first started I was using a very small kiln and could only make nine hearts❤️ at a time. I gave these hearts to medical personnel, first responders, dentists, mailmen, and to anyone who needed one because they were going through hard times. I would send them to friends on Facebook. Donated the funds from selling them to Direct Relief in Santa Barbara and to our local mental health organization. As of last month (July), I have made and given away 1,000 pocket hearts. This also gave me focus and positive energy. I have had wonderful responses from the recipients. I will continue making them..
