Do Not Fully Rely On Your Certificate
Recently, President Buhari was captured when he made mention of Degree not being a sustainable means of income wherefore, pupils should not fully rely on their certificates or Degree.
The President has turned out 2 be truthful because the world we live in now, very few people care about Your Certificate. Rather, they care about what you can do.
The world is changing. Everyone might have acquired one skill or the other in other to fall back on if one source doesn't work out.
You could be doing your days job and still be doing other things like crypto trading, etc.
The world is changing and we should adapt to its change too.
Religious Leaders Have A Part To Play
My mind have been engaged in the thoughts of giving. Narrowing it down the the present Plague the World is facing, ive been forced to ponder on alot of things particularly, GIVING.
Everyone expects the Nigerian Government to give to the society, the support they need to enable them survive during this pandemic crisis, considering the lockdown that has been imposed on majority of the states in the Nation. Some may call it Parliatives.
Truth be told, Nigeria is examined to be populated by 200 million people, if the Federal Government are to distribute Five Thousand Naira (#5000) to Every Nigerian, that would take them a long way, but how long will it take them? how long will it put food on their tables? how long will it fetch them water to drink?
Farming season is here, farmers are expected to plant their corns, vegetables, cassavas, maize, etc with the hope of harvesting sooner due to the rainy season so they can have what to eat and sustain their families. But this aint possible because citizens have been ordered to stay in their houses amidst the pandemic crisis.
Do not get me wrong on this, i totally and whole heartedly appreciate the Government for their supports during this time, considering the fact that their primary objective is to serve its citizens so i completely appreciate them.
BUT
The Government cant do it all!
Out of the 200 Million Nigerians, more than 90% are affiliated to one Religious Entity or another, whether Muslims or Christians.
If the Religious Leaders in Nigeria, whether from the Headquarters or Outreach centers give to their members in every little way they can, people will not have to put their blames and hopes on the Government.
The Government, whether in the Federal, State or Local level, CANNOT reach out to Everybody in their community. But if Religious Leaders join to give their supports, atleast, 95% of Nigerians will be touched in one way or another, through any means.
So i humbly appeal and plead to ALL Religious Leaders across the Nation, to reach out to your members, a basin of Rice or Garri or Beans is not to small to give to them.
Please dont get me wrong on this, i am nt saying that Religious Leaders CAN do it all. But, if the Government contributes their quota, Religious Leaders contribute their quota, more than 95% of Nigerians will be touched.
Lets all help our neighbours in every little way we can, as we hope this Plague to be over.

My Birthday In A Week
This year has been my best year ever.
It has exposed me to alot, taught me alot and given me alot.
I know alot of people will say this year has not been really the best of years for them but I must say for me it has been one of my best years ever in my life.
I have been able to acquire myself a lot of skills that I am hoping to exhibit as the world is beginning to be free again due to the pandemic shutdown of economy and every other aspect.
So if not for anything, I am grateful to God because this year I haven't had any cause to cry.

Why The Anger???

How can you support Atiku and Saraki and still attack regular citizens for Buhari's emergence?
You blame activists who are currently holding Buhari accountable the same way they held Jonathan accountable, but you openly defend, support and celebrate questionable political figures who funded Buhari's election.
What kind of ideology is that? It does not make sense to me.
Whenever we remind them that Nigeria was terrible under GEJ, they will tell us that Buhari has made it worse. Are you saying that we should forget the atrocities of the GEJ era because of Buhari's nefarious actions and failures?
Why do you want to force people to be either PDP or APC?
Look at Akwa Ibom and the Niger Delta, can you attribute significant developmental projects in my State or region to GEJ? I do not believe in tribalism. The fact that many people support Buhari because of ethno-religious sentiments does not mean I should do the same for GEJ.
If your anger is because those who supported Buhari in 2015 and/or demonized Jonathan should have known better, why are you not showing equal hatred for Atiku, Saraki, etc.?
Some of you are already projecting Atiku for 2023 but you're attacking regular citizens because of 2015.
Your anger is not because GEJ was good and Buhari is bad.
The main reason for your false outrage is because robbery is still going on but your benefactors are not the ones leading the robbery gang. You cannot be hating people over 2015 while supporting Atiku.

Afang Soup As The Grundnorm
I am alarmed at the crass display of ignorance of hierarchy of soups in Africa by a section of new generation consumers.
Afang belongs in the same class as the constitution of the land. It is the grundnorm, the supreme soup of the land. All other soups, no matter how sweet derive their validity from Afang. Editan, ogbono, atama are at their best good soups but afang is the sole official soup of the land.
Infact, editan is at best judged to be good by how much it attempts to taste like afang.
The fact that modern technology and increased demand has enhanced the mass production of afang soup, some by bad cooks, it has not in anyway affected its significance, power, authority, preference, historical relevance, and spirituality.
Afang is the fons et origo, the source and origin of all soups, the methods of preparation of all soups derive their recipe and validity from afang. Should there be a clash of choice of soups at any event or home, afang by law take pre-eminence, this provision is enforceable. Any soup that is inconsistent with the taste and flavour of afang is null and void and of no effect whatsoever.
Be it be known to all that the supremacy of Afang above other soups is not in contest.
Covid-19 - It's After Effects
The world, particularly Nigeria, is in for a long ride to normalcy the moment the Corona Virus Pandemic is over.
The first known patient of Corona virus started experiencing symptoms in Wuhan, China on December 1st, 2019.
Since then, there have been over 800,000 reported cases around the world. The disease became known in Nigeria when a Nigerian came in contact with an Infected Italian in Lagos.

The pandemic has greatly affected the economy of the nation not only has it been affected but we are going to suffer a setback in terms of education,agriculture,health sector,economy of businesses of both private and the public and so on will suffer great loss due to the pandemic.
Nigeria has witnessed two recessions in adecade. One in 2009 as a result of financial crisis and another in 2016 as a result of sudden fall in the oil price in the world market.
In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic affected the global market in two ways.
Firstly, the spread of the virus encouraged social distancing which led to the slowing down of financial markets,corporate offices,businesses and events. Secondly, the rate at which the virus was spreading and the heightened uncertainty about how bad the situation would get, led to "flight to safety" in consumption of investment among consumera and investors.
The travel restriction imposed on the movement of people in many countries led to massive loss of businesses in the Event Industry, Aviation Industry, Entertainment Industry, Health Industries, and so on.
Some developed countries such as the U.S and U.K. responded by offering fiscal stimulus packages including social welfare payments to citizens while the monetary authorities offered loan relief to help businesses during the pandemic.
Restriction of the flights were enacted in and out of some states and the nation(Nigeria).
The Education sector, private and public schools and universities were closed. What is the hope for the Nigerian student?
The Banking sectors are also closed, senior staffs work from home, very few bank staff are available at the bank for depositors.
Most importantly, Markets are being put on lock and key. Some states under total lockdown are being given dates for restocking.
Religious sectors(gatherings) are also banned during the pandemic and religious leaders who disobey these directives, face the wrath of the law.
Sporting activities are not left out as the NFF and FIFA have joined in the hault of sporting activities across the Nation and the world.
MEANWHILE
If u look at it, alot of factors worsened the economic crisis in Nigeria, one of them are the few social welfare programs.
Before the disease outbreak, there were major problems in Nigeria which includes child abandonment, armed robbery, homelessness, kidnappings, mental health problems, single parenting, teenage pregnancy, etc.
These social problems can only be addressed with serious social welfare policy and program. But currently social welfare policy and program in Nigeria is underdeveloped, poorly funded and is unavailable to majority of those who need them.
Nigeria does not have a well developed national social welfare program that offers assistance to all individuals and families in need, such as health care assistance, education assistance, unemploynent, disaster relief, and so on.
The consequences of not having a good social welfare program because evident during the corona virus outbreak of 2020.
Secondly, Underdeveloped Digital Economy is another factor.
Before the outbreak, Nigeria already had a weak and underdeveloped digital economy.
There were hardly any university or school that offered a full education curriculum online from state to finish.
Most businesses including banks and technological companies operated the come-to-the-office-and-work model as opposed to the work from-home.
The operations of these markets and industries would have been minimallly affected if they had a large operation infrastructure.
Thirdly, the public health sector is another factory.
Nigeria has a poor infrastructure such a poor emergency services, few ambulances service, ineffective national health systems.
Cases where Nigerian citizens travel out for services like ear infection treatment, child bearing shouldn't be heard of.
This pandemic should enlighten and mould us into equipping our health sectors.
FINALLY
The scope and severity of the economic crisis is a clear signal that growth and development reforms are needed in Nigeria.
In retrospect, the Nigerian government was wise to use fiscal and monetary stimulus package as a partial solution to revive falling aggregate demands during the outbreak.
Let us learn to accommodate our health facilities as a country and develop our health facilities.
This will better Nigeria!
Eyen Traffic
DO YOU RECOGNIZE HIM?
If you are a regular passenger or passer-by around Nwaniba and oron road, you will definitely keep notice of this young man.
He is fondly called "Eyen Traffic".
A young man whom so many have tagged insane but finds it obligatorily to help out on road traffic control even when he is not paid.
We have traffic controllers in the state as paid public servant but trust me on this, I've never seen one as dutiful and as committed like this young man.
The young man comes to the junction as early as 6:30am in the morning and goes home at 10pm in the night, unpaid, abused and neglected.
It is a sad thing when most drivers of commercial, public and private vehicles do ignore the simple "wait sign" of this young man. For some occasions has he being knocked by a vehicle and for some occasions has he being beaten.
Only to abuse is the order of the day, no one stops to appreciate his effort.
I recall two months ago when I didn't see him on the road as usual(I learnt he was sick) and the taxi I boarded was heading towards nwaniba as at 7:30pm and when we got to epri nsukara junction, we were held on by traffic and the cars came together to a point no one was controlling and nothing could move, we spent more than 46mins at that same junction and the driver said " how I wish Eyen traffic was here"
I now told him "so mad person get duty abi"
Commissioner for road and transport, this man deserve an appreciation or even employment from the state government.
SA to the government on media, Mr. Aniekeme Finbar. This young man deserve media attention.
PA to the governor on public affairs, Barr. Aniefiok Morgan. This is a public affairs matter.
Let's treat people as humans, he may not be insane, it may be the circumstances surrounding him that affects the way you see him.
