An Open Letter To A Toxic Friend, I am angry with you because you ruined my life, my mental health, and you inflicted a severe trauma on me that seemed to last for the rest of my life. But I have forgiven you now. Not for you, but for my own sake, for my own peace of mind. Not because I'm talking to you right now means you can come back into my life as if nothing happened and wreck it again. I wouldn't pretend to like you, if I didn't. I'll put up with you and try my best to be civil to you. Why? Because, in my opinion, there's a world of difference between being an adult and being a phony.
