Hope you and your family are in good condition and no one is sick as Omnicron is surging now. Everyone thought that this year we can slowly get back to normal but it looks like we're going to start again. We get overwhelmed last year thinking we're already safe because people are majority vaccinated, but the virus is wise and strong that keeps evolving a new variant. When we're sick we don't have appetite to eat even it is our favorite fried chicken. I remember the other day when boyfriend is here he forced me to eat and ask what viand I want. I said I don't want anything but he said "how about Jollibee chicken?" He teased me for me to agree. Of course I want it but not now. Then the convincing session turns to *chikahan.* I suddenly remember my co-crew because of the fried chicken back when I was working in Jollibee. He was my senior and very kind to me. I distance myself when others noticed that he is very close to me and I don't want to have issues. During break time 1:45 PM John: Hey Zy? What time is your in? Me: 2:45 how about you? John: 10 minutes left. Me: Ahh okay, I'm going to sleep first. After 30 minutes of sleep I saw him still in the crew room look stress and he is holding a paper. Me: Thought your going to in? But I didn't get a response so I just leave him. I noticed my manager and the other crew keeps replaying the CCTV. I thought there is a thief that's why I ask the other crew. Me: What did you monitored ya? Bryan: It's John. Me: Huh? What happened? Bryan: Maam Lea (Restaurant Manager) saw him that he was going to bite the chicken skin earlier when he went in. Me: WHAAAAAT?! During frying? Bryan: Yes I get nervous for him because for sure he'll get fired. Our Restaurant Manager is very strict in protocols and his mistake will not going to be consider. I pitied John that time but he deserve the punishment. He's old employee there and he should know more about the protocols. We asked them why did he do it and he said he was tempt the crunchyness of the chicken skin. Timing when he was going to bite it Restaurant Manager pass by. He's unlucky that he lose his job during pandemic because of his negligence. He didn't think before he commit the mistake. If you are working for employer, you should followed all the protocols. Don't put yourself into trouble that will ruin your image. Thanks for reading! :)

That's one of my reasons why I don't want to work at jollibee, I will surely be tempted at the fries and fried chickens there since one of my mannerisms is to make kurot at every dish I find delicious. Sad to know about what happened to John after that.

Rules are meant to be broken and at one point, some will definitely not follow the protocol. It's really hard to overcome the temptation of eating the chicken skin, I would have done the same thing John did if it was me 😆

Thank you for the advice 😅😅 but I would literally do the same coz I love chicken… I believe when a job covers for that then there wouldn’t be a reason to hide… Good luck to him next time

And it's a protocol also diba to not leave the table unattended as soon as the customers go. I have a student before who became a close friend na ng work din as service crew sa Jollibee.

Halaaa. Super fan din ako ni checken skin lalo na kapag 'di pa napa-fry. Hehe pero nakaka-awa din si Kuya kahit na s'ya naman gumawa ng dahilan para ma-fired s'ya. 🥺 Sana may new work na s'ya now.
