It is the break of dawn and I’m having my early morning walk. The place in the photo is just a few blocks away from our apartment. It’s quite chilly, but having some alone-time is quite nice. It gives me a chance to think and ponder about the most random things in life. The city is also peaceful and a lot quieter in the early mornings. ☺️ Our journey in life varies from person to person. It doesn’t matter if you’re still here, and the people from the same generation as you are already “over there”. We have no idea about the battles they’re facing, and we don’t know if their goal is actually to be “over there”. We each have our own goals and aspirations in life, and in order to reach those, we have to take different paths. Some paths are tougher than others, some steeper, some smoother. But the lesson is, don’t look at others. Focus on yourself. Your own path. Your own journey. Keep moving forward, regardless of how small the steps you’re taking, regardless of how slow you’re moving. And most important of all, be kind to yourself. Rest, if you must. But don’t stop and don’t give up altogether. God never gives us challenges that we cannot face. If we are confronted by an obstacle, it’s because He believes that we are strong enough to handle it. All we need to do is to believe in ourselves and have faith in Him. I know a lot of us must be facing some silent battles, and I want to let you know that you’re strong.
