Journey to Upland Metaverse
At the time of writing, Upland is the **top** **Blockchain game** according to the DappRadar site's 7-day user volume data. It is ranked number 5 when the 30-day user volume data is compared. The thing to take note of is that this is a game that's in open beta release. There's still plenty of room to grow. Do you want to be a part of this growth? The first thing that you need to do is click on the **GUEST** icon located in the upper left corner of the screen. You’ll arrive at the **LOGIN** page. Click on the **DON’T HAVE AN ACCOUNT? SIGN UP** link at the bottom of the screen.
You’re now at the **SIGN-UP** page. Before you proceed further, I have a **word of advice** - think of a very good **USERNAME**. Believe me, you’ll regret it if you don’t give it much thought. This game will grow on you and you'd want a memorable Username for the game. This will be your 'branding' in the Upland Metaverse and your username will be uniquely you & yours. As this game is built on the back of the EOS Blockchain, and anything written on the blockchain is unchangeable, this means for better or worse, you are stuck with whatever username you register with. You'll not be able to change it later. Now, complete all 3 fields (Username, Email Address & Password) and click the green **SIGN UP** button. Please keep your password in a safe place.
Each player starts with a **Block Explorer (BE)**. You can see two such in the first image above. Once you zoomed into the map, you'll see many more Block Explorers on the map. Your Block Explorer represents your Upland presence. Your **BE** will randomly travel through the city you start in. The Genesis city for this game is San Francisco but new players joining now will start in Fresno. Fret not, you'll be able to travel to San Francisco by train. Yes, much like Monopoly, there are train stations and you can travel between cities. Once you’ve picked your **BE** of choice and the background color, your adventures in the Upland Metaverse begin. Welcome to the exciting world of the Upland Metaverse.
