Bracing for Storm
Hello again read.cash readers. It is a very sunny Saturday morning, but do not be deceived. A storm is coming our way. I planned to take a road trip to the north of Cebu, particularly, the province of Sogod. It is a four hours drive and I love going on road trips like this. I was going to visit a friend who is selling some rare plants. She showed me one that I am interested on. She said the name of this plant is pocket micky mouse.
It would also be a sort of a vacation as it would have been my first long trip since quarantine times. But then I have to cancel such trip because a big storm is brewing and has entered the Philippines Area of Responsibility. Rolly, as what the name of the storm is called, is slowly entering the Bicol region. Although this is quite far from Cebu, but due to the wideness of the storm, Cebu will still experience strong winds and rainfalls. It is said to be another super typhoon. In fact Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 has been declared in various provinces in Luzon. I don't want to be caught by the storm while I am on the road. Who knows what will happen by then. It is better to be safe than sorry. For now, it is quite sunny and the skies are very clear as seen in the picture below.
As we don't know when the typhoon will make a landfall, it is better to brace for it and get ready for its coming. For now I have to close my big umbrella that is protecting my plants from the harsh heat of the sun. It might be blown away by the strong winds and might do some damage to cars parking nearby.
Some of my plants are being transferred inside the terrace, I don't want them to be damaged. My hanging plants were being put down on the floor, they might be blown away too. I am sorry, am just a plantmom and I don't want to see my little babies come to harm. 😀
These are just a few of my preparations for the coming typhoon. I hope and pray that in time it will weaken and won't do a lot of damage. The Philippines has seen a lot of tragedies this year and a lot of my fellow Filipinos, particularly, in the Luzon area, has suffered a lot. Be safe everyone!
