Needlework : Pots *Article #16.* Hi read.cash readers and subscribers. When the pandemic hit the world, a lot turns to gardening to pass away the time while on quarantine. A lot of those who became plantmoms had posted in their Facebook pages about their newly acquired plants and how they transform their living room with their plants in white pots. I was so envious of their white pots as I am a plantmom myself even before the pandemic. But I have never envisioned my plants…

Needlework : Ear Savers *Article #17.* Hello once again. I am back with a tutorial for Ear Savers. The new normal requires us to wear face masks. Since the start of this pandemic, many, especially the frontliners, like the doctors and nurses have been wearing face masks the whole day. The loop of the mask makes the ears sensitive, irritated and some have developed into a wound. Having an ear saver saves their ears from such irritation by placing the loop of the mask not…

Craft : Macrame Plant Hanger *Article #18.* Being in home quarantine led us to think of ways to do away with our time. Some were having a movie marathon, watching movies that they want to see but has no time to do so before the quarantine. Some went into baking. I did that too. Some went into gardening. I did that too. I now have a vegetable garden at the side of the house. Some learned new crafts. And that is just what I did recently. I watched tutorial on YouTube on how to…

Neri's Ville *Article #19.* Going to places that I have never been is quite an adventure. Every year me and my kids took to the internet to look for places that are nice to have a day tour. Our qualification? The place must be instagrammable. Well, we saw Neri's Ville in the net and we thought of going there as the address is just two towns away from our place. Yeah, it is just two town but unknowingly that second town is soooo far. We even got lost once along the way. But…

Needle Craft : CD Coasters Hello again dear read.cash readers. This time I have another Do-It-Yourself project using old CDs, re-purposing them for another use. I crocheted covers for the CD to use them as coasters. I won’t discuss about the yarns and the crochet hooks as @marblely has explained it well on her article “Froggo’s Journey”. This is the link to her article, should you want to know more about yarns and hooks,…

Overcome Challenges This is my entry to @Jane ‘s sponsorship for having reached 500 subscribers. Her question is : *****“How do you overcome challenges that life throws at you?”***** Challenges are everywhere, every day. The act of waking up in the morning is already a challenge and at the same time a blessing. **PRAY** Having the capacity to pray is one of the things to overcome such challenges. Once our parish priest said, in one of his sermons, “DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE…

Pop Tabs Don't throw your pop tabs away! Pop tabs are that small aluminum tabs that you pull to open a can of soda. There are lots of ways to recycle them and one of them is to repurpose them as buttons for the earsavers. My lady boss, who also crochets, asked me what I used for my earsavers. I told her that I am sewing bottoms at each end. She then told me that she uses pop tabs and sent me a link to a pattern. Here is the link below if you are interested to make one.…

Copycat I read @Equator-2 's short post about somebody copying his article and tried to search them. Here is an excerpt from @Equator-2's article which was published ****2 days**** ago. His topic is : Why are you here on read.cash. : ***WHY ARE YOU HERE?*** ***though we all came here with the aim of earning...when someone invites you or you invite someone, you lay more emphasis on the earning, and that was what entices us(including me) to join.... but is that why we are…

Grateful Once Again I have been in this platform for more than a month now. My points have been moving like a snail since, but I don't mind. As long as I have these blank forms waiting for me to fill in, it is okay. I don't write articles everyday much more having several articles in a day as sometimes I lost interest in writing. But there are people in this community that are just generous enough to give sponsorship and are taking the time to read and make comments on what…

Needlecraft : Coin Pouch Hello read.cash readers. I am back with another DIY tutorial. Christmas is just around the corner. Three more months and we will be celebrating Christmas Day. We all know that this is the most awaited time of the year, parties here and there, gift giving everywhere (*though gift giving should not be limited to Christmas time alone*). This time, in the previous years, I would have slowly bought gifts for Christmas so that I won't have to join the…

Passive Income Hi to the people in this community. It is my first time to publish an article here and I hope I will be welcomed. 😘 Do you know what a passive income is? Do you want to have a passive income? To know what passive income is, let me first differentiate a passive income from an active income. An active income is something that you have to work for in order to earn an income out of it. Like for example, when you work in a certain company or you work for other…

Mango Ice Cream Cake Summer has officially ended with the coming of the rain, but the mangoes are still in season. Here in the Philippines, summer time is the season for mangoes. You can find mangoes in any places in the Philippines during summer and they are sold cheap during this time. Speaking of mangoes reminds me of my farm, wherein seven mango trees bearing fruits were being damaged by the storm. It would have been harvest time but because of the storm they postponed…

Flower Power Flowers, those blooms or blossoms that sprout from flowering plants. They give life to a dull lifeless looking desert. They make a place more lively with their vibrant colors. Who doesn’t like flowers? Maybe only those in the other app I joined, who keeps on complaining about flower posts. (sorry about that) I have been a plantmom since I don’t know when. I just love plants. I always get to bring home a plant or two every time I travel to different places. I…

Orange Chicken We have been hooked ever since our favorite fast food chain introduced Orange Chicken in their menu. We just love the citrusy flavor of the orange in the chicken. Since all the members of the family love it, I tried to emulate the recipe so that I can cook it myself. I looked for recipes on our friendly google and found plenty. But knowing my capacity to cook, which is so limited, I scout for the easiest recipe. Finally, I found one. Cooking the chicken does…
