My Sundays usually involve me going to church, having lunch at home, reading some novels, then either going to a house fellowship or just resting. Today, I think I'll be resting at home.
So I saw this sentence below in a novel, and I'd love to share.
"We are not perfect, we all have flaws. Our love path will meet all kinds of people. Some people can make us miserable, disappointed, into endless doubts and low self-esteem. Some people will give us a steady stream of strength, let us work hard, and let us always have expectations and hope."
Life is filled with so many paths and the choices we make determines how we end up, physically, mentally, financially and emotionally. We've all been in one or more situation where you either wished you never met a particular person, or went to a particular location. This is simply because those people and places became our source of pain and regrets. We all have our story, some more than others.
Like they say, experience is the best teacher. However, some experiences can be avoided if you pay attention to the signs. I like to believe that before most things take place, there are subtle signs that show themselves.
It could be in your relationship, marriage, family, career, personal life. There are usually signs and these are our Red Light to know if we want to take one step forward or to back out. Backing out of a worrying job or relationship is not cowardice, it's strength.
However in Marriage, I believe you should see a Counsellor, a church marriage counsellor.
We've all had our bad experiences, but this doesn't make everyone bad. If we go through life thinking that, then we'll miss out on a lot of fun. Just like how you have some bias again some people or tribe, so do they! However when we look past those bias, we are able to discover the uniqueness of each individual.
No man is an island and we are here to learn from each other. Some people come into your life and give you bad experiences. Some crush your feelings to the point that it feels unrepairable. Some are there to make you wish you can go back to the past and erase every trace of their footsteps in your life.
However, some people will be there to make you feel Joy. They will be there to make you feel Loved. They will be there to help you pick up those broken pieces of your heart.
But you have to let them in first.
It's hard. Last 2 weeks, I went to church with a cold look on my face. By the end of the church program, I was laughing with friends and feeling relaxed.
That was because consciously and in some cases Subconsciously, I was open to them. I was willing to move past my initial feeling.
There's a verse from the Bible I wish to share with you. It's from 1 Corinthians 13. It talks about love. Verse 13 says
"And now abideth faith, hope, Charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity."
Charity can also be translated to love.
Another translation MSG says:
But for right now, until that completeness, we have three things to do to lead us toward that consummation: Trust steadily in God, hope unswervingly, love extravagantly. And the best of the three is love.

It says Hope Unswervingly. I used to think that if I hold no hope for something, I wouldn't be disappointed, but I still felt disappointed anyway. Its human to have expectations.
What I'm getting at here today is that you shouldn't let past experiences keep you from new situations and experiences.
You got hurt? Yes. You regretted it? Yes. You don't want to get hurt again? Yes.
However these shouldn't stop you from living a happy life in all areas of your life. Get up, dust off the shackles of the past, plan for your brighter future and work towards a brighter future.
You owe it to yourself to be happy.
Don't fall in love with your shackles.

Facebook Reels and How to Market Services and Products
Facebook reels is a powerful marketing tool for business owners.
Facebook Reels are short-form, full-screen vertical videos that Facebook has introduced after the popularity of vertical video formats across different social media apps. Facebook initially launched Reels back in 2021 in the U.S. but later expanded to 150 countries in 2022.
Even though Facebook Reels are available in select countries, it still has a lot of potential to grow and compete with TikTok. Since Facebook is the top-tier social media platform and Reels is a Facebook feature, there is a massive opportunity for creators to cash in on the vertical video format.
Facebook Reels are structured very similarly to TikTok videos, with a handful of differences. The short videos on Reels are often paired with catchy songs and include a little bit of everything: outfit checks, heartfelt rants, and cringeworthy memes. Even though Facebook plans to release something comparable called a Remix, the option was not functional at the time of testing.
The creation tools inside Facebook Reels feel akin to TikTok's but are executed like a student squinting and copying from a high-performing classmate’s test with a 75 percent accuracy. TikTok has encountered numerous moderation issues, and if Facebook Reels stick around, Meta will encounter many similar problems unique to short-form video content.
Facebook’s identity crisis is driven, in part, by teenage users abandoning it for the endless supply of short videos on TikTok. Responding to this trend, the social media platform tested out a video feature for select US users called Facebook Reels last year and launched the feature globally in February.
Once you know how to run a Facebook Ads campaign, it’s time to go one step further and introduce Instagram Reels and its Ads. Launched as a new way to present content, allowing users to create and publish short videos. Unlike Instagram Stories that remain visible for 24 hours, Reels are a permanent content source.
Using this interactive video format, you can create your content right within the app—no extra software or equipment needed. You can make use of the filters and effects to transform a simple idea into a killer visual. Reels work much like making a TikTok marketing video.

If you are filming multiple clips, the green screen can be switched out each time.

With so many people on the site, you have an audience regardless of your market or niche. Also, if you’re in business today, especially online, you can’t avoid marketing on Facebook in some way.
For those who still post on Facebook, the following tips will help you understand the new option and experiment with creating videos. If you’ve already migrated to another platform, Facebook Reels is unlikely to become your new obsession, but it could be a decent secondary location for the content you create.

I've also learnt how terrible it'll be when you don't think (or worry) sometimes.
Not worrying about some things really put me into sleep mode 😴. I feel way too relaxed. Which is funny because somedays I wish I could relax. (Exam days 😂)
I learnt that depending on friends will put you into trouble.
I got to know the level of friendship I had with some people
I learnt to deal with that and move on.
I learnt to drop my belief that I couldn't give up a bad habit. (Excessive Novel Reading🙈)
As a Christian, I'm taking baby steps 👶.
Moving on...

Diary: Courage in times of none
Today I was supposed to complete a very important stage in my life. I had never done it before, but it was necessary.
I got scared, actually nervous not scared. I wanted to escape that reality.
The funny thing about all this is that, I still remembered this verse from the book of Joshua 1 "Be Courageous, for i am with you." I know there are other words there, but at that time, that was what was in my heart.
I couldn't complete the task today. But I have my armor on for next time.
I can't afford to give up, there's so much counting on this.

The Chocolate Truth
An article that tells you where the chocolates we love comes from and the process of making it.
Chocolate starts out as a tree.
A cacao tree is a fruit-bearing tree that produces the sweet and bitter cocoa beans used to make chocolate. The trees thrive in tropical rainforests, where they receive plenty of sunlight, humidity and rainfall. There are more than 3,000 varieties of this plant throughout Central America, South America and Africa.
In order for a cacao pod to produce beans, it must be picked by hand from the tree when it's fully mature (usually after three years). Once harvested from their pods by hand or mechanically cut with machetes, these beans are then dried for at least 24 hours before being transported to processing facilities for further handling.
In 1492 Christopher Columbus Loaded Cacao Trees on his Ships and took them to the "New World"
Christopher Columbus was an Italian explorer, and he lived from 1451 to 1506. In 1492, Columbus first set sail to the New World with ships full of cacao trees. He did not realize that this tree would become one of the most valuable commodities in the world. These trees were planted in the Caribbean, where their value was only known by local farmers for many years.
Types of Chocolate
There are four different types of chocolate and they are made from different ingredients. The first type is dark chocolate. Dark chocolate contains no more than 45% cocoa solids, along with sugar and other ingredients like vanilla or lecithin that give it a creamy flavor. Milk chocolate also contains no more than 45% cocoa solids, but also has dairy products added such as butterfat from cows' milk or cream (although some companies use non-hydrogenated vegetable oil). White chocolate is made without any cocoa solids at all - instead sugar is combined with vanilla extract to create the right taste. Unsweetened chocolates contain 80% cacao or higher, with little to no sugar added in their production process.
The chocolate is harvested by hand to preserve the delicate fruit.
According to the World Cocoa Foundation, cocoa is a delicate crop. It grows best in hot, humid tropical climates and requires special care during harvesting. Because of its sensitivity to weather and disease, harvesting is done by hand. This helps prevent damage to the fruit pods as they are taken from the tree.
The process begins with cutting the pod from its stem. The pod is then split open so that each seed can be removed from their pulp and separated from one another. After cleaning, drying, roasting and grinding these seeds into powder form (this process can also be done before splitting them from their pulp), you have chocolate liquor!
