Heading towards the end of the year, and the start of a new one. It happens to me every year, and this year is no different. I get this mood where I start to contemplate the past year and sometimes I even think about what I expect or want the coming year to bring. I am in a mood like that right now and I guess that my ruminations are unlikely to be out of place here. I did win the bet with AnonSunamun I guess. Let's begin with a positive thought. One of the things that occurred in the last year was that I became a read cash member. I was kind of discouraged a bit, hence my absence for a couple of weeks, by the rewards that came in even though I did enjoy the communication to and from the community in the comments. It was my friend that lured me here that ensured me that the more and longer I stick with it the more and better the returns will be, as long as my content is original. He also mentioned something about a robot catching my article or something. (and yes, he sent me links to explain that further but I haven't had the chance to really read through it) So for the coming year, I am going to take up his advice and stick with it. I will try and write more, and I will either rub his nose in the evidence showing he's full of it, or I'm going to have the horrible experience of him saying "See, told ya". And believe me, I've been through that horror scenario more than I care to remember. It's a traumatic experience. I must admit though he did come through with the 10 bucks he lost in the bet we made. I made less than 5$ so he paid me 10, so he is a stand-up guy that makes good on his promises. Last year sucked monkey balls! But if I am being truly honest, last year was as much of a shitshow for me as the year before that. I am as unemployed as I've been for months now, my kid is still gone, big events like Thunderdome have again been postponed due to Covid, there is still Covid and a lockdown(ish) in effect. If all is plussed and minussed over the past year, I think it is in the top 3 worst years of my life. 2022? (or 2k22 as some insist on calling it, for reasons i cannot comprehend) And what about the coming year? What are my expectations, and what are my wishes? Well, I do expect some movement forward in the employment section. I guess that I'm still lucky to be in the first two years of my unemployment phase, where I get 70% of my last earned wages, but the longer I am unemployed the closer I get to the long-term welfare situation. I'm guessing the government is going to intervene before that, and now that the political parties finally came to an agreement about the government plans for their coming term we'll actually HAVE a functioning government again next year. So while I am not confident about it I am cautiously optimistic that there will be an improvement on that issue. Renew the fight, with the revelations shining new light! I also expect to be able to fight for and win, more time with my kid in the coming year, and even hope to put in a bid for my kid returning home for good. There have been a lot of revelations by media here about the criminal injustices perpetrated by the child protective services here and there is a lot of talk about government agencies acknowledging their mistakes and taking actions to correct them. I've received some compensation for how my kid was taken away from me, which is as good admission of guilt as an admission of guilt in my view so there is justification for having a judge take another look at my case, hoping for rectifying previous court case's outcomes. At least, that is a logical order of things in my view. I've contacted a lawyer and will meet with her the first week of January to see if law and stuff agree with my logic, and what it might cost me to pursue that logic. Formula 1's end of the season!!! Oh, I just thought of another positive thing that happened this year that I really enjoyed and made me happy!! *****MAX VERSTAPPEN-WORLD CHAMPION FORMULA ONE 2021!!!!!!!!!***** Did anyone catch that last race? Oh my goodness, I still have muscle pain in my butt from squeezing it so hard! (I guess that loses a lot in translation.) Being the optimist I am I didn't lose confidence in Max winning that last race until 12 or 10 rounds before the last lap. But I eventually did lose hope, seeing the 11-second gap with Hamilton and Max not gaining enough on him each round to make it in time. And when the safety car came in I still had little confidence In the f1 race leaders to allow the lapped drivers to pass the safety cars before resuming the race. But man, I tell you, my heart sped up 100% when I saw those 5 cars pass the safety car, knowing Max had changed his tires to soft when he got the chance. And that last round, oh my goodness, it nearly killed me. When he passed Hamilton I cheered and shouted loud enough for the neighbors to hear me, and when he defended the lead in the next bend I think even Max himself heard me shouting!!!! All in all a good day to be an F1 fan, and especially to be a Dutch F1 fan. Oh dear, I see it is time for me to close this one, I still have groceries to shop for. Anyways, expect more from me in the coming future, and give a like if you liked reading this. If you want more from me, you can encourage me by subbing or sponsoring me. But I won't get sad if you don't. :D *Kudos to those still reading at this point! And thanks for doing so!* *****I wish everyone everything everyone wishes for!***** Joke (stop toch met koke) https://media3.giphy.com/media/eY1JD4KPG4HMk/giphy.gif?cid=ecf05e47d4syd19tmg5iiaq0l9helxlyuvteu2a7iyk9vd74&rid=giphy.gif&ct=g @Joke https://read.cash/@Joke

It's finished but still, I have no clue what its about. Well, isn't it typical? Two "articles" in my illustrious read cash career and already I'm running into a writer's block wall. It's not like there's nothing happening in the world right now, is it? There are so many things that I could write about it's ridiculous I can't seem to get a half-decent piece of writing out of my keyboard! Yes, you're not misunderstanding. The title is about this very article you've now started to read. I can't explain it either, I'm as baffled as you are! I could write about the Belarus-Poland border situation, where refugees from Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, and other countries are being used by Lukashenko to get back at the EU for imposing sanctions on him after the elections and his dictatorial behavior. Or I could write about the all-time high Bitcoin reached, and if that was the topping out point for this year, or if there's an end-year run for the moon is about to happen. I could also write about how much I wish this year would just end already, so I could put the literally worst year of my life behind me and move on to... what? A better year? Somehow that's easier typed than felt, to be honest. Should I write about how much I'm troubled by the realization that of both "Star-" franchises I liked one of the animated manifestations of each the best of all the franchises. For the -Wars my favorite and most gripping experiences were watching "The Clone Wars" and now the -Trek universe somehow pulled some "feels" strings with the "Prodigy" series, even soliciting a "wh00p wh00p!!" from me at the end of the second episode (end of the pilot episode, which apparently were episode 1 and 2 back to back. Learned that when I went looking for episode 2 and kept finding half the pilot episode) My buddy keeps saying that I should write about the sad and sorry drama that I call my life because that would have a therapeutic effect on me. What he doesn't realize, regardless of how close a friend he is, is that he doesn't know I am still blaming myself for the loss of my kid. That no matter how much compensation the government pays me, and apologizes for their role in it all, I feel I am a failure as a Father and therefore as a human being. And there's nothing that's going to change that. My kid's gone, and I didn't fight to the death to prevent it from happening, which means I didn't fight hard enough. Why would I want to write about that? I could write about Elon Musk "asking his Twitter followers if he should sell 10% of his shares in Tesla or not" while he had already given the order to sell those shares back in September. He has so far sold about 5 billion dollars worth of shares, but Tesla lost 50 Billion dollars worth on the stock market because of it. And those 5 Billion dollars worth of shares isn't even close to the 10% of his shares he supposedly intends to sell. Supposedly all because of an alleged accusation he was using unrealized gains as a tax evasion method. I could even write about the Carnaval festivities that'll happen tonight all across the southern provinces here despite the largest rise in Covid cases in our country since early last year, and the hospitals have been warning for weeks now they can't handle the pressure as it is now, and big Carnaval partying crowds spreading Covid will result in forcing healthcare to invoke the dreaded "Black protocol" in which they will triage Covid patients (Only the patients most likely to be saveable get IC care, and those unlikely will be sent home to die). Some might suggest the formation of our government (Elections were in March) should be something that merits me writing about it, this being the longest formation period ever in our nation's history. That, despite the worst crises (plural!) our nation's faced since the second world war, we are now governed by a demissionary government that was forced to resign because they were responsible for inexcusable injustice done by the state against its citizens. For causing thousands of parents to be branded as frauds, unlawfully demanding payback of thousands of Euro's tax benefits they had allegedly received due to fraud, destroying those parents financially, mentally, socially, and physically. The government admitted it, reluctantly eventually after they couldn't deny it anymore in face of overwhelming evidence, but they still get to rule until the formation of a new government. A formation in which.... here's the kicker: The same people that formed the resigned government are negotiating the terms and conditions for the new government and get to be the next prime minister and ministers that form the government when they've reached an agreement. I remember we used to laugh at countries with clown governments like this. We called them "Banana republics". There's got to be a lesson in there somewhere but I don't even want to look for it. Perhaps the last part of the Formula 1 season, with Max Verstappen leading Ew is Hamilton by 19 points going into the last 4 races of the season. Maybe that is something that I could write about without feeling that doing so only serves to depress me more? My nationalist pride-filled heart pumping orange blood always seems to beat a little faster when "If it ain't Dutch, it ain't much" is put into practice. Just like thinking about this weekend's last World Championship qualifier matches that Orange (which is what we call our national football team) will be playing makes my heart beat faster in exciting anticipation! `(and yes, WE play FOOTBALL!!! I refuse to use the word soccer!!!` `We play the ball (a spherical object) with our feet!` `The Americans play an oblong thing (defiantly NOT a ball) with their hands.` `Why do they get to be so arrogant that they get to call their sport football, and invent a stupid name for our sport??? I say f**k 'em!)` But even writing about them makes me feel really Meh, bordering on Poit! I can't help it, nor can I say specifically what it is that's depressing me so much it damn near depressing. I guess I'll think of something to write about eventually. When I do, I hope you'll all still be here! Though honestly, with my luck this Millenium, it wouldn't surprise me to learn that minutes before I got inspired to write again the platform shut down for good, or that the government had shut down this community because they judged our community to be too close and a (corona)threat to public health..... Really? Still, reading? I am shocked! Well, I can't do anything else than express my respect for your capacity to endure torture and my gratefulness for your kindness! *****I wish everyone on Earth health, Safety and happiness! (sorry crews on the space stations!)***** Joke (stop toch met Koke) https://media3.giphy.com/media/eY1JD4KPG4HMk/giphy.gif?cid=ecf05e47d4syd19tmg5iiaq0l9helxlyuvteu2a7iyk9vd74&rid=giphy.gif&ct=g

Reply @meherun about one sided love. So like I was saying in response to your article I've been in three very... lengthy and deep one-sided love... disasters. https://read.cash/@Meherun/the-emptiness-the-feeling-of-one-sided-love-in-my-real-life-d54d5311 The first was when I was pretty young. I guess from 9 years old until I was 14 with the last two years spent being in love with someone I never saw or spoke, except for a picture hanging above my bed headrest (which I dutifully kissed every night before sleeping). *If i had sponsors i guess they'd go here!* It was a girl in my class and it was my first conscious experience of being in love. She was one of the more popular girls and I was part of what you might call the wasn't. I wasn't popular, I wasn't popular, I just wasn't. The first year I was in love I kept it from everybody, even from my parents. It was coming back the next year off from a super vacation which had left me as optimistically motivated and confident feeling like there was nothing I couldn't do. So as soon as I saw her walking into the schoolyard I went right up into her path and told her "There is something I need you to know. I've been in love with you since the start of last school year, and when just saw you again for the first time I was just as blown away and in love, as that very first day I saw you." And then proceed to give her a peck on her cheek. I can tell you the existence of my confidence, optimism, and motivation from that moment on were measured in seconds. She was with her 2 BFF's who were having spasms from laughing so hard and she had, at least in the way I remember it, an expression that kind of said "I'm so sorry for you and so sorry for what I'm about to do to you" until her flat open hand landed on my cheek. I had never been as miserable as I was at that moment. But I didn't love her less, and after a month or two we became friends because I was simply pretty hard. I was always there for her, no matter what. I even took the blame for her once when she (accidentally) broke a window in school and so much more. Fast forward to the last day before we graduated middle school and the last day I ever saw her. We had organized a "playback show" as a goodbye, remember us kind of traditional thing where we all playback our favorite singer or band. (i did "jewel of the Nile" by Precious Wilson. Imagine an 11-year-old pasty white boy, dressed in his grandmother's dress... i won't torture you with more imagery) The evening was the goodbye "Disco" where there was music drinks (Spiked halfway through, but that is another story) and dancing. The last dance she came to me (my heart still skips a beat when i see the images in my mind) and asked me to dance with her and at the end of the dance she gave me my first real kiss. But like I said, I never ever saw her again. Oh my god, I am such an idiot that even right now, I am crying... The second and possibly worst one side love I had was with a woman i met when i was just 18, and getting into my career. I was trying to get a larger social circle and decided to visit the latest club in our city that just opened. Well, i did fall into a group of friends since that evening who got together every weekend before going out. And pretty soon i was in love with this girl but she had a relationship with a guy who was also in the group. She broke up with him at one point which i took as the perfect time to confess my love for her. Well, that wasn't pretty either. She was cool about it but did the ultimate friendzone headshot: "I like you very much, and i love you, but only as a friend." Well, I've been the guy that helped her through the lowest moments of her love life, I've given her the key to my apartment and went out one night so she could have sex in my apartment with some guy I don't even remember, and even once or twice been that idiot that helped her take the tension off without 1concequences. Well if I am completely honest: If she'd call me today, asking me for help, I'd jump right into my car and drive anywhere no questions asked to help her. I am... let's just call it late forties now. Almost 30 years of one-sided love were spent in the friend zone. The third one was when I was 30 and hadn't seen case number two for about two years, and she had just come out of a relationship that had ended badly with her being a single mom of a three-month-old boy. She intuited and hinted just enough "interest" in me to.... well... Same old story. That one was the shortest one that lasted only 4 years. So with that track record in mind, I can tell you that despite the vibe you're trying to put forward in your article, there is no such thing as deciding if you're going to be in one-sided love or not, or how you will handle such a situation next time. Love isn't something you can control. If you can control your love, you've never been in love. I'm not saying you cannot control your actions towards your one-sided love though. That is what makes us human: The ability to do things that go against our emotions, feelings, and instincts. But the feeling itself... that you have no control over whatsoever. Sorry for the text wall here but you hit kind of a sore note in my life here with your article.

My friend might be on to something here. Hi, I am here because of a friend who kept "bugging me" to come over and give this site/framework/community (?) a try. He kept telling me how great it was and how he actually made money here, just for writing articles. He told me "As long as what you write is original, readable and you don't go around and offend the other writers and readers you'll probably make some money" and kept badgering me to "Use this link and register, what do you have to loose". Well i just did exactly that and this is my first article. Because i have no idea what to write about (maybe I'll figure something out if the site is as good as he said it is) so i decided to write an introduction thing. I have spent a couple of hours reading some stuff of other writers here, to see if there was a pattern (nope) and wasn't really impressed. At least, not by the articles, but i was surprised by the community sense i got from reading the comment sections. Either you all know each other from somewhere or a lot of users here are really in love with this site. I've seen nothing but goodwill, love and support dripping off the comments below the articles. At least, the articles that have comments. I've also come across articles where there was absolutely nothing going on. I must say my curiosity is piqued. I've tried some sites like this one in the past, but found that usually these sites, if they let you earn anything at all, never let you get anywhere near enough to make it worth even the electricity it costs to go and post something on them. Initially i thought this site would be no different. But I've checked out the top articles link on the landing page and if those are any indication it might actually be worth the time and effort to get something going on this site. So who am i? Well i am a not so young anymore dude, single, unemployed, very Dutch and i am a mate of... what does he call himself here again... right, I am a mate of @AnonSunamun who kept banging me over the head with this site until i gave up. I've been an IT guy (yes, help-desk) but have been without work for a couple of months now. My back is to blame mostly, as one of my disks is damaged to the extent that i can hardly walk sometimes. I've loved writing for as long as i can remember but so far it seems i am the only one who loves reading my writing. I'm single and not in a relationship anymore but also not really looking for someone at this time either. My family, as far as those who have been in contact with my parents until they died, all conveniently dropped off the planet after my mom died and haven't left any contact information so for all intents and purposes i am alone in this universe. If it wasn't for my buddy i would be a hermit. He's the only one who willingly and of his own initiative comes to visit me, or doesn't fake not being there when i go to visit him. (gawd that sounds pathetic reading it back) But i am fine with that. When i don't interact with "normies" i don't get anyone angry, and if you have no friends there is no one expecting anything from you. So I'm good. I like Science-Fiction, computer games, writing, helping people solve computer problems, Bicycling, fishing and moon-shining. I hate dishonestly, unfairness, woke and so much more its not practical to list it all here. Hopefully I continue to be proven wrong about this site/framework/community (which is it actually?) and loose my bet with my friend (He bet me $10,= that i would make more than $5,= with my first two articles). In fact i hope this site proves me wrong in such a huge way that it becomes my home away from home (on the internet) May your temperatures be low, and your framerates be high! And remember, there is nothing you can't @Joke about!
