Buddha Wow, I never thought of this powerful metaphor. No wonder Buddha is the enlightened one. In that sense, it is a great idea for everyone to assume that one is candle-lit to share one's light with others. Candlelight may not illuminate much. But hundreds of thousands together! The idea is quite socialist and at the same time interesting, that you give something that is yours freely, that you and others enjoy it seems even dangerous to me. I would not like to lend my computer, for example, where I have all my work tools, my templates, and my list of links with regular channels, I would be very cringe if other people invaded that intimate part of me, and I am giving you one of the thousands of examples that can occur with that metaphor. Reinaldo, I did not see it as you tell it here. I don't think Buddha, Siddhartha Gautama, or Jesus of Nazareth are socialists in the modern sense. Light is a metaphor for knowledge, socialism is an excuse to take it away. Light discovers with truth, and socialism conceals with lies even if it dresses in light. I think that both you and I already know quite well what socialism means.
