"If a man does not make new acquaintances as he advances through life, he will soon find himself left alone. A man, sir, should keep his friendship in a constant repair." Samuel Johnson Wow, Mr. Johnson is so right in what he says in this quote. I think I'm in trouble. I don't get out of the house much lately. So the chances of me establishing new friendships are minimal at my age. On the other hand, the fact that I am here, sharing experiences and thoughts, helps at least to acquire virtual friends with all the restrictions of these media. Well, if you don't know who Samuel Johnson was, I don't blame you, I didn't know either. As I often say, fortunately, today we have at the touch of a finger or voice command, the answer. Suffice it to say, for now, he was the author of the first dictionary of the English language, back in the 18th century. Image by Raka C. on Pixabay
