Turkish proverb Yes, revolutions have in common, hungry stomachs and smug exhibitionists who mock the dispossessed as they stroll in front of them. The Turkish saying is crudely true. Well, ask yourself, if that happens nowadays. The irony today is that hunger could be eradicated if the world's most prosperous and powerful nations divert one-eighth of their annual military budget to that end.
