Fact 32: Some flowering plants are carnivorous and eat bugs and small animals. One great example is the Venus Fly Trap. The plant has little hairs on its leaves that are used to alert the plant when a bug lands on it. The trap snaps shut quickly after an alert is raised and begins to digest the trapped bug.
