Is the best price always the one that accurately reflects value?
Value is the worth that the customers receives or the amount of money that the customers are willing to pay while price is the amount of money that the customers need or asked to pay. Theoretically a price must be a perfect reflection of value but the consumers have different perspective with regards to the value of a product. There are many consumers that uses price as an indicator of product quality (Kotler 2001) but even there are other factors that that affects the consumers perception to the value of a product still price is always the one that accurately reflects value.
The value is greater than the price when the consumers buy the product but not all the time price reflects the value of a product. There are firms that want price to say value as closely as possible by taking consumers surplus in the form of profits. According to Ben Newey a price only doesn't perfectly reflect value is when a person may buy a product or an item because they value it in that particular price but the other person would buy it because they value the item more than the price. There is a theory that tells price isn't always accurately reflecting value which is the theory that customers will pay higher prices for the right product without even investigating if the price accurately reflects the value. One good example of it is the Nike because the brand of the item is what communicates its value. But the company or business use one of the pricing strategy which they called prestige pricing to leverage their products. And according to Tucker Dawson prestige pricing had the ability to give companies a psychological marketing advantage by convincing customers that there is an added value for the cost. The idea of it becomes an advantage of the buyer’s assumption that one brand’s product is of a higher quality than the competitors because it costs more. The prestige pricing is used by organization or businesses to increase the customers’ sense of value and profits. It tells that the product doesn’t have to be the proprietor of a legendary brand to use this strategy effectively because there are great ways to use high prices as a guide towards more realistic deals and as the method for communicating value. By improving customers experience with the right environment and consistent great service the company create an image that proves the product has a great value in a high price.
The companies constantly manage price to do their goals which is usually to gain profit because there is no business that sell products or offer services without the intention of gaining profit. There are any psychological, decision bias, neurological and behavioral effects that influence how customers perceive prices so company should always remember to choose the right price that will reinforce the quality of the services to the right audience and focus on creating the value of the products they offer. The effectively to communicate the value of the product helps to build a brand and keep customers coming back to buy. I therefore conclude even there are factors that affect the consumer's perspective towards the value, price is always the one that accurately reflects the value.

My Position on Same-Sex Marriage
Same-sex marriage is one of the arising moral issue that concerns a lot of people. I know that some people agree and some disagree since we all have different stand or opinion about the issue. I also knew Philippines is one of the countries that do not allow the same-sex marriage because of the influence of religion that basically affects the moral choice of people. But in my own personal opinion my position about the issue is yes, I am in favor of same-sex marriage. Even I am a Christian and my religion is against same-sex marriage I see nothing wrong about it.
I believe that all of us deserves to be happy and all of us have the right to love and be loved, to have our own family and to experience a what we call home. And if someone found that happiness, love, family and home with the same gender there is nothing wrong with it. Marriage is not just a ceremony it is a special celebration of a two-loving couple. And for me there is nothing wrong if two individuals with the same gender enter in the sacrament of marriage. We are all human and we are all the same, we all need the love, respect, understanding and support. Yes, God created only man and woman but who we are to judge and question the identity nor the relationship two individual with the same gender. We are not God that has a right to punish someone by not allowing them to be together because we see it wrong. In fact, I heard that there are some religious leaders and churches that supports the same-sex marriage. And as long as we do not hurt someone, I don’t see any reason not legalizes the same-sex marriage.
I agree with the same-sex marriage not because I’m a part of the LGBTQ community because I’m not. I am in favor because it’s also their right and I see nothing wrong about it. If that makes them happy then I go for it. I think it’s time for us to fully accept the LGBTQ community because they suffered enough due to discrimination. The way we can show that we fully accept and respect their community is by allowing them to be happy. For me it is more important to love the person we choose to love than to love the person that other choose us to love. And I believe that God will be happy to see us happy with someone we truly love than to see us in pain because we choose to follow what the society tells us the right thing to do.
The Worship and Faith of Christian Community
The early Christian community worship was open for all including the strangers and those who want to bring back in preaching. But during that time followers of Jesus are not allowed to conduct a public Christian worship and they conduct their gathering usually in private homes. The type of Christian gathering they have before is called the Lord’s Supper. It is the ceremonial community meal continued by Jesus followers when He presided the night before He was arrested. Anoher type of gathering that the early Christian have is the prophetic assemble which includes both singing and thanksgiving in unknown languages, with interpretation, and prophecy. The early Christian are the first who establish the baptism and the function of it was to initiate the new convert into the Christian faith.
In today generation the kind of worship and faith that we have is defferent from the early Christian because we reformed in many aspects and areas. The Christian community today gather in a larger or wider palce since Christianity is the largest Catholicism today. The Christianity today was different but it reflects the concept of the early apostles and believers. The Lord’s supper before was now called as Eucharistic celebration a and we all gather in the church not just into our home to celebrate and gave thanks to the Lord.

How Gratitude Affects Human Being
Gratitude define as an affirmation of goodness. It is not just an action because it is also a positive emotion or the expression of appreciation that arises when a person does something kind. Gratitude is important since it promotes forgiveness, kindness and generosity that helps us to strengthen or form new social relationship. It can also make us change our perspective towards bad things into opportunities for positivity that makes up grow as a person.
Gratitude affects human being in a good and positive way. It benefits us in terms of health, happiness, satisfaction with life and the way we build relationships to others. The study about the modern psychological perspectives on gratitude sees that it can improve the overall sense of well-being and it help to strengthen our relationship to other. It also help us support our healthy lifestyle and to increase happiness. Another thing is it will help us to have a self-control and to have a better physical and mental health. Overall gratitude's affects human being as it improve our life for us to become better.

Which approach is more defesible, price or value?
Market share define as the total purchases of a customer of a product or service. It is a measure of the consumers preference for a product over other similar product and itis extremely important for any company since it helps the managers in making decision to ensure the success of the business. Price and value are both significant since price is what the consumers pay while the value is what the consumers get in a product. But among the two approach the more defensible in capturing the market shares is the value.
These days starting business becomes more difficult since there are a lot of competitors especially when a business is profitable many will also sell the same product and provide same services to compete with them. But after some time, those organization or business that offers same products and services are forced to drop or low the cost of what they offer until there is already no benefit to them because all business can lower their price. Every business takes actions by improving and developing different strategies but still end up to nothing. One of the best solutions that the company should do to survive is to capture the market share by improving products quality and providing a value that your business can only provide. As what Peter Theil said, “In the real world outside theory, every business is successful exactly to the extent that it does something others cannot.” For a business to create value that cannot be replace or imitate time is needed to work with it. The value for the costumer perspective is an act to evaluate the profitability of the management action. The market share shows the competitive strength of the business and it helps companies to determine whether they are progressing or not. So, the first best thing to do is to plan because it important to properly know what the value that your business will provide in order to successfully capture market share. From the article I’ve read it sees that there are else to consider to create a value in an irreplicable manner that a company or business can used like the brand, process power, counter-positioning and more to create advantage.
I therefore conclude that between the two-approach value is more defensible to capture the market share since all business can lower the cost of their product to make it affordable and gain more market shares. But through improving or developing value that cannot be replicated becomes the most effective way to gain not only profit but also trust and loyalty of the consumers. Even the price of a product is high if it meetstheir satisfaction, they will always think that it has a good value. The difficultiesthat the company face in creating those tasks to achieve good quality and value becomes their advantage. The good value that satisfied the consumers need will bring the business to success.

As what I understand in the study of history primary source are the original documents, artifacts or the source of information that was written or created at the time during the study. It was created to provide events that happened in the past and it serves as an original source of information, the most credible source. It was created represents original thinking, reports on discoveries or events and it share new information. It give us a powerful sense of history for us to know and be involve in the past. Through analyzing the primary sources it guides us toward higher-order thinking and better critical thinking and analysis skills.

Conjoint Analysis Reflection
As world continue to discover new thing many businesses improve their products and services by developing different features to provide the needs and wants of the costumers. The organizations or companies are competing to meet the standards of the people. They trying to create a good and successful products and services and sell it in a right price.
As what I understand conjoint analysis is one of the techniques used by many businesses to assess or evaluate product and services they offer. It is the best survey method to determine the customers value. And it is used to predict how product recreate or redesign should perform when take in the market. This analysis wants respondents to choose what they like in the real-world base on the realistic product options. We all know that one of the most difficult decisions of an organization or business is pricing a product because the price determine the quality of a product. I’ve learned from the video the importance of conjoint analysis in establishing the price of a products or services. Through conjoint analysis the organizations or businesses able to know the feature of a product that will satisfy the customers with their willingness to pay.
I therefore conclude that conjoint analysis is both beneficial and important in business and consumer since it provides a useful information about the products or services. As the business provides or conduct a survey, the business able to know the side of the costumers about the product, the feature of a product that will satisfy the costumers at the same time they willing to pay. It is also important to the costumer because through conjoint analysis they able to choose what they like about the product through the conjoint features provided and since consumer always want to try something new in affordable price.

The concept of pricing plays an important role in business company or organization since they help in generating revenue. It contributes to the success or failure of the organization’s pricing strategy. As a business student it is important for me to know and understand the strategy that is being used in business.
Art define as the creative method of doing things that indicates how an object was accomplished. It is an expression of human creativity and imagination to produce a work with beauty and emotions. The theoretical science conclude that art is keep on changing for the better result of work. So now what makes pricing as an art and science?
Pricing defined as the process of determining the value that is received by an organization in exchange to a product and services. It is the method used in setting price of a product to offer relevant to both producer and consumers. It is a process in which using different pricing techniques where the price of the product is determined. A managerial task that involves establishing pricing objectives. It identifies the factors that governing the price and ascertaining their relevance and significance. According to the article entitled “A Simple Formula for Pricing Artwork” said that pricing is the most complex tasks that emerging artist face especially when just starting to establish a business. Pricing is an art because it formulates price strategies, implementing them, and evaluating their impact on organizational objectives. The uniqueness of the property and its position in the marketplace makes pricing as an art. Its ability to make competition for sponsorship to gain trust and its desirability of property to sponsor category is a creative way that a pricing strategy used. Another way is its ability to meet the sponsor’s business objective makes it as an art.
What makes pricing as a science? Science described as the systematic study of structure and behavior. The method of doing things is through observation and experiment. It is used to gathers knowledge about the world and condenses the knowledge into testable laws and principles. The cost to deliver the benefits and the cost of sale and servicing makes pricing as a science. By using the method of science, we able to know the financial condition of an organization or business. We able to know the market competitions and able to understand that pricing is playing a great role in business.
I therefore conclude that pricing is really an art and science. The pricing as an art that uses creative way in gaining profit to achieve its objectives. The pricing is a science that uses method in finding and analyzing pricing strategies. They are both important tool with the same value which is to generate strategy in creative ways and to understand the market competitor and people.
My Personal Definition of Art
I personally define art as the way of expressing emotions, inner thoughts or feelings. Art allowed us to be creative in our own different way and through that we able to become ourselves. Art also interpret what life we have or what we are into particular situation. Through art we able to communicate to other in a more creative and deeper way. Also, art gives us the opportunity to vision and explore and that enable us to develop ourselves and discover our meaning or purpose.
Art of My Life
Art is a big part of my life, it makes me see the world differently from what it is. Art is one thing I love to do because through art I am able to communicate and express my true feelings. There are different forms of art but the forms that greatly influence and change something in my life are visual and performing arts. These two forms enable me to find myself and lose at the same time. Visual arts make me imagine things and that enables me to express my emotions and ideas. My hands and creative mind interpret my feelings through making artwork like drawing. Performing art is another form of art that enables me to express my feelings and emotions. Music, theater art and creating spoken words are my other ways of expressing myself. Art has a great impact on my life and I can't avoid it because we are surrounded by creativity.
Gospel Matthew Reflection
My life is full of ups and downs, I have experience a lot of difficulties and for 2 decades of my existence I consider this year as one of the challenging and heart breaking year. It's just a half of the year yet a lot of things already happened. And as pandemic continue exist in our daily life it greatly affect me, as a person, as a student and as a daughter.
It is true that we never know how and when our life will end, no one will ever know except God. Two important person in my life gone unexpectedly in this very difficult time. Last April 4 my uncle past away because of high blood and after 2 days my grandfather also died and it was suspicious its because of the virus. I never see them for the last time since they are not with us. During this time of pandemic a lot of thing bothers me not only the death of my love once but also the time because I supposedly graduated last year if I didnt stop studying for two years. I should now helping my family financially and already not relying on them. I was pressured by the time especially now that life is very difficult. And now as the opening of school year 2020 near to come I still don't know if I can continue my studies since I don't have scholarship anymore that will help me financially. I am not young anymore to just chill and relax now that life was so different from the way before.
After reading the gospel Matthew there are three verses that enlighten me from the situation I am right now. First is from sixth chapter verse thirty-four telling me to Pray more and worry less that made me realize He has a better plan for me so I should trust Him and pray. The day will come I will become successful in life where I can already provide everything for my family. Second is from chapter eleven verse twenty-eight that sees Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. This verse tell me to take a break from all the things that made me worry so I should come to him because He will gave me peace. And third is from chapter twenty-eight verse twenty that sees I will be with you always even with the end of the world this made me strong because even the important person in my life are already gone I believe they are still with me and God will always still out there even if the world was ending.
Those things Ive experience made my gospel reading become memorable because I able to appreciate every single word I read and it deeply leave a great mark in my heart. The holy words of God that present in the gospel made me realize that all of this are just an obstacle and it will make me become stronger to face greater challenges in life. Also Ive realize that life is not always what I wanted it to be. Ive experience a lot of difficulties in my life that challenge me as a person and as a follower of Christ but all those happened for a reason. I know coping with difficulties is never easy but knowing that His with me I believe I can overcome challenges.

Vanitas Still-life with a Portrait of a Young Painter by David Bailly (1651) (Analysis)
What I see in the painting of David Baily are stick in his right hand, skull, candle, glass of wine, coins, rose, pearl necklace, books, sculpture, pipe, hourglass and a soap bubble. There is a small portrait of himself in his left hand and behind is a portrait of a young woman. Also, there is a man that look like a saint. In the background of the wall is another portrait of a woman and above his head that hanging in the wall is another painting of a man.
This painting is full of symbolism and based on my observation from what I listed I conclude that the painting is an explicit genre of art which uses different symbolic objects to give us awareness about life and death. The painting has different side of explanation or meaning from the background, angle, color and object or item that was used. The portrait represents the artist himself during his younger aged in early twenties. The stick in his right hand is what painters used to support the hand that holds the brush. In his other hand which is another portrait of himself during the time he was painting this work. The man that is sitting in the left side of the painting and the man in the frame are the same and that reminds us the transience of life.
All the object in painting highlighted the human existence. Our life and our time here on earth is very short just like the candle, the bubble, the wine in the glass and the faded flower. The hourglass and the skull remind us that our life has an ending because there is death. And when we are dead everything we own like the pearls and coins will not have value anymore. Overall, the painting of David Baily is a universal wisdom of his own life existence.
Art is A Product of Creativity and Experience
Art is not just described as an artwork because it is also a language that goes beyond words. It is a product of man’s creativity because an artist uses imagination to gives birth to reality or to produce art. It is also a product of human experience because in art, we able to express or present our ideas and emotions.
According to Robin George Collingwood, an artist uses their emotions to express it in an artwork that help them explore their own emotions and that result to something beautiful. But we need to remember that not all we seen or experienced may truly be called a work art.
"Tampuhan" By: Juan Luna (Filipino Artist)
As what I observe in the painting of Juan Luna entitled “Tampuhan” I can say that it is a genre type of subject. A genre painting describes a scenes or events from everyday life and family relationships. The painting was created in year 1895 that shows two Filipino lovers in the living room of the house that was in the argument or misunderstanding.
The painting didn’t only represent a two lover that are in a mood of “tampo” because the painting also shows what kind of life they have during that time. And according to an artist named Emilio Aguilar Cruz, the subject of the painting is not just a lover’s quarrel because it also shows a special occasions or fiesta where there is a procession outside and the red cloth on the window of their neighbor is a sign of having an event.

Art is everywhere and we are all surrounded by creativity without being aware of it. It is a huge part of our life since it was already existed from the begging as world was created. Even how difficult being creative still art is important in our life. It helps us improves our creativity skill because whatever kind of art we are into we always do our best to make it impressive and beautiful.
Art gives us joy and by that we able to release our stress. It gives us the opportunity to showcase our talent, to share to others what special to us and it gives us confident. And it also helps us to communicate with other people to express our emotions.
How to Honor Our Blessed Mother (Reflection)
The article in titled “How to Honor Our Blessed Mother” is an explanation on how and why we should honor Mary, the mother of Jesus. And why we should pray to her and to saints in heaven . Mary is the mother of Jesus we should respect and love her as we love Jesus because she is an instrument for us to be closer to God. It is her purpose as the His mother to bring us closer to Him.
The article telling us that Mary is not more merciful than Jesus because she is just the reflection of God’s love. Also the article telling us that we should pray to Mary and to the saints because they are His family. When we follow Him, He always bring along His family so we should also pray for them. He gave us the very special gift and it is His family and saints in heaven to become our brothers and sisters. His act of giving His mother is His way showing or giving His love for all of us. When we pray to Mary and saints we will become more bless because they are our angels that guiding, protecting and loving us with all their heart. God is a generous and He wants to share His glory. He want us to feel special as He gave us everything. He want us to be feel loved, worthy and happy as always. Mary honored God by her obedience and humility. It tells us to honor and respect our parents as God honored even more and love His family. Mary reflects the glory of God, like the moon only reflecting the light of the sun. So, we should be thankful for Him because He wants all the best for us.
As a great follower of Jesus, we should obey all His will and reflect to all our mistakes. We should honor our mother as He honor His mother Mary. We should pray not only to ask for guidance, help and protection but also to thank Him for all the blessings that He gave. For giving us family, friends and all the people that we love . For giving us the life that full of love and happiness. For giving us His family in heaven that praying, cheering and loving us through all night and day.

Understanding the Self

Self is the representation of once identity. It defines our own personality or what we really like as a person. According to Ralph Waldo Emerson, "To act naturally in a world that is continually attempting to make you something different is the best achievement."
In this world full of judgment, rejection and criticism I can't say that I do not pretend to be like someone else. I made bad action that results to wrong decision. I am also a human that make mistakes because I'm not perfect, no bodies perfect. And as I reflect, I'd realize that it's important to know myself first before getting to know others in order to better understand my own unique character. I also realize that I don't need to pretend to make other people happy because the true happiness is to make myself happy. As what Judy Garland said, "Continuously be a top notch variant of yourself and not a below average form of another person." What I've learn about the concept of the self, gave me knowledge about myself. It is the way to understand my behavior, abilities, and unique character as a person. The different level under the mental iceberg reminds me that all of us have a different experience, memories and thoughts or desire and I should respect it. The three element of personality known as ego, superego and ID work together to create a complex human behavior that helps me to have a balance personality.
Understanding the self requires knowledge that help me to discover and understand my unique personality. This thought me to change for the better version of myself. And made me realize that being true is the only way for me to be accepted and love by the society even some people judge, reject and criticize me. I will always follow what my hearts tune in to internal voice, and quit thinking about what others think.

There's a lot of thing I can consider as my representation or symbolism but there is only one special thing that I love to be the one. There's something about this thing that makes me happy and comfortable. I like and I love this thing because everytime I hold it I feel the happiness and joy.
I symbolize myself as a paint brush. I painted my past. I am painting my present and I will paint my future. Nobody can ruin or steal my own painting because I am the paint brush that creating my own painting which is my life. I have the passion and right attitude to create a beautiful day.
Even I encounter struggles in choosing the perfect colors I will always end up resolving it by finding the right combination. I am the paint brush with a smooth brush that describes my personality and it will bring me to success. Part of me is the the strong handle that goes with the flow where the brush wants to go.
I am not just an ordinary paint brush, I am the magical one who will create an extraordinary art. I am the paint brush that is powerful to stand up to create the beautiful painting of my life.

Curly or straight hair. Murena or white skin, striking are the drawings and colors on the face that look like the work of a great painter. The thickness of the foundation that smoothed the tired look of the face that longing for love and understanding. The one who seems to feel the warmth of acceptance and the coldness of being ignored by those you consider true friends. The beautiful combination of eye shadow color on your eyelids that accentuates the dark morning. The eyes that seeing beautiful and painful scenery, events indoors with your family. The black color on the side of the eyes asking questions, tired holding back the tears wanting to drip, eyes wanting to cry. The thickness and blackness of the eyebrows that give emotion to your face. Eyebrows that judge what behavior you have. The thickness and redness of the lipstick on the lips. Those who want to speak and shout out loud. What? Why? How? These are just a few of the first words that are spoken next to the words you want to give or find an answer to. What? Question that answers directly. Why? Question looking for a reason. And How? Question seeking explanation.
I suddenly remembered the face of a child playing in the middle of a straight day who does not care if it is hot, sweaty or smelly as long as she can play flip, damp, chase, hide and sick, cards and jumping rope, didn't care even if injured. And every time it rains she paddles happily. I remember the face of a child spotless of any pretense. Her eyes glow because they are full of fun, no problem. She's most open and only words are all truth, without the stain of lies.
One day the child learned to pretend and locked herself behind the mask, hiding because she was afraid of being judged. She wanted to pretend that everything was nothing and that she was fine. Where is the child who lies in the truth? It seems that the lie has wrapped up and escaped the real feeling. The pain of failure, judgment and insults of others.
One day in the middle of the nightmare of pretending the child woke up and cry, sob, roar like a baby. For a long time of pretending the child smiled and fully accept every mistake, fully embraced herself. Promised to be happy and deal with all problems no matter how hard and difficult it is she will continue to fight.
Do not be like the child who learns to pretend. Do not hide or be afraid of the truth. Do not confine yourself to a lie. Do not cover your face with your true feeling. Because even if you are in pain, never be afraid to be hurt again. Do not hide who and what you are. Do not wear the mask of others. Do not hide the scars and bruises, the pain and suffering because even we do not know each other, He the one you call God knows you.
