The Gift Of Nature
December 19, 2021 (Sunday)
Nature is a part of day-to-day life here on Earth. It has a great responsibility and part here in this World and people used Nature in different ways. As the elder folks says that, we should take care of our Mother Nature for the better future.
Many great tasks are from the future, some of these are getting Minerals (gold, silver, iron, copper and etc.) To make jewelries, coins and other luxury products and of course, people made it.
Forest comes from the Nature also, it helps for us to build houses, building and other construction firm or materials. Animals is also from the Nature, the animals wont live if there is no food or drinks that comes also from the Nature. So it has a big tasks for us.
Plants and flowers is also from the Nature. It helps us to have a beautiful and colorful surroundings with the flowers. Many different shapes, sizes, colors and features of the flowers this will addens the beauty of it. Great elders and teachers say, that we should not cut trees because trees helps to prevent landslide and flashfloods. This is very common and old practices and saying but this is a very nig help to balance the ecosystem and yes, truly it helps to prevent erosions and flashfloods.
Nature gave us a great gift and this is very helpful to us. But sadly speaking, some people today abused the Nature. They cut trees without replacing a new one, killing wild animals and destroys the beautiful and peaceful place just like mountains and rivers.
We also watched this scenario in Television and we are very sad about it.
It is not to late for us to take care of our Environment, there is still chance to regain and bring our Nature to be good and healthy again.
We must clean our surroundings.
Avoid burning plastics and other materials that can be release toxic in the air. This will be called Air Pollution.
Stop throwing garbage anywhere such like chemicals and other non-biodegradable materials.
Minimize to used chemicals in the plants and or in the garden like pesticides, synthetic fertilizers and other chemical products.
Dont cut the trees and if it does, replaced it immediately.
Dont kill the wild animals and plants. They have a great responsibility to balance the ecosystem.
This are very simple to follow but if think deep this few tips should help and give a big help for the sake of our Mother Nature.

Last night, I went to Lugait where many Christmas lights and decors in the place. The Different Departments in this Municipality conducted a different types of Christmas decorations according to its theme.
Most of their decorations contains an indigenous materials and it was very creative and beautiful.
The first section I went was this Santa Claus dancing in the hall-way. Children were so very enjoy watching Santa Dancing. Many people taking pictures and follow Santa Claus dance steps.
There was also a beautiful a small village and to make more realistic, designers did their best. They used styro foam and they formed it a houses, towers, sylums and cottons that it serves as a snow in the village. There were also a lights to make the village more realistic and the children was very amazed.
There were also a Giant Snow Man and many children wants to take a picture together with a snowman. The snowman was made of plastic cups adorned with many Christmas lights. The lights were so very bright because of the color of the Plastic cups. Below the snowman there are gifts placed but that is for decorations only.
The Park of Lugait were also filled with more Christmas lights. Many people love to roaming around the park specially this Mini-Gazzebo. Here in this area there were also a children's playground and many children played and enjoyed themselves.
This is the Municipal Hall-way and this hall-way leads us to Mayors Office. The place is very spacious and beautiful and well organized. There were also a marked X in the floor that serves as a stepping mark to create a social distancing. The Municipality holds a strong protocol so that the visitors will not be an over-crowd.
This is very fascinating and very creative this Christmas tree was placed in Marketing Department inside of the Municipal Hall. I was very amazed of what I seen this is a real Indigenous Christmas tree. I would like to do it the same at home.
The last place I went is this, a Giant SnowMan. This is very simple made because it was made of cardboard but the decorations were so very beautiful.
It was a great and more fun experienced when I went on that place. I felt the spirit of Christmas and truly that place was very beautiful.

My Nature Travel Blog
Hello everyone..
Since when I was a member here in read cash, I always take and explore the beautiful places, plants and animals near in our place. This morning, let me share some of my fascinating and beautiful pictures I got when I was In a travel blog.
The first picture is this Rainbow. I taken a picture with it yesterday when I was at the road going to my place. It was very beautiful and when I seen it I remembered the story of the Rainbow.
This is Madang, one of the most delicious and popular fruits here in the Philippines. Mostly, Madang grews in a mountainous areas, fertile soil and a cold weather areas. This is good for dessert or Panghimagas per say. This is also an expensive fruits some of this costs 250 pesos each.
I love also taking pictures just like mushrooms. This is some of the mushroom found here in our place and it was very fascinating. It has an orange color spot at the top of its leaves and a beautiful form just like a house. When children see thia kind of mushroom they will think that this plant might be a house of living creature just like in the fairy tale.
This is not an edible but it is good for decorations inside or outside the house. Animals just like cows and carabaos avoid to eat this plant because it is poisonous. The color and shape are the only one to make it more attractive.
Traveling is fun and more exciting, until next post my Dear friends. Thank you for reading my post.
Typhoon
Good morning everyone and to all members here in read.cash platform. Today, let me share to you our experiences when typhoon Odette hit our place yesterday. Many people lost their lives, houses and even their source of income addens the damages of the places and the communication systems were running poor.
When I went to the river to see the great damages done by the typhoon, I felt more sad and surprised about the scenarios. The soil were colapse and eroded due to heavy rains and flash floods. People dont have any access to cross by, well there is an alternative route but it needs to walked a long way just to cross by a bridge in order to get to other place just like supermarkets to buy necessarily needs.
A great flood happens and even when the storms are over but the river still big and the water contains a strong currents that peoplw can't pass it by.
We experience a heavy rain due to the typhoon odette and we are starting to worried about overflowed. We have a trauma about this situations because we experienced this also when typhoon sendong hit our place.
Our place is quitely dangerous I admit, but we are still alerting specially when there is a bad weather coming in.

Pass The Pechay, Please
Commercials and television programs have often reflected this universal questions by making jokes about it, but most nutritionists are not laughing. Vegetables contain many necessary vitamins, including A, C, beta carotene and trace elements. They also contain a great deal of fiber, which helps combat constipation and digestive disorders plus is low in calories, which helps with weight control.
The younger the child the easier it is to change an attitude, and this is especially true with nutrition. Children are not born disliking vegetables, it is learned behavior.
Start From Birth
Try to delay giving your infant solids until atleast 3 to 6 months of age. A baby needs to know how it tastes in its natural taste.
Vegetables as a Main Dish
Try serving vegetable first, before any other part of the meal, taking advantage of your childs impatient to eat. Also try making the vegetable the main dish occasionally.
No Distractions , Please
When you want your child to broccoli, do not serve it at the same time as french fries. If there is desert, dont offer it until everything else is served and eaten.
Serve Attractively
Try to make your servings of vegetables both varied and attractive. Many Vegetables come in beautiful colors and can look very festive when served.
Keep Trying
If your child doesn't like peas cooked, try serving them slightly frozen. The name of the game here is creativity but without completely disguising the vegetables.
Finger Foods
Children are perpetually hungry and always looking for yet another snack. Young children are especially interested in foods that they can handle by themselves. Vegetables are perfect in this case. Having a low-fat vegetables dips or salad dressings can also increase the chance of your children enjoying these healthy treats.
Gardening
One of the most and best ways to generate an interest in vegetable and all growing things is to have your own garden.
Forced Feeding
No matter what route you decide to follow in trying to persuade your children to eat vegetables, never force them into eating anything. Forcing food can result in frustration and anger for both parent and child and cause children to develop a negative attitude toward vegetables in general.
Be Persistent
Vegetables are essential for good nutrition in growing children but, sometimes even the most dedicated and ingenious parents cannot convince their offspring to partake of that food group. The best course to follow is a combination of persistence and patience.

Trichinosis, A Painful Problem
Good morning everyone, today let me share to you my own understanding about heart illness, specially Trichinosis one of the most painful diseases.
In some places, probably one out of every six people is affected by Trichinosis. In other places like the here in The Philippines this disease may even be more common. It is difficult to know why how widespread trichinosis is because symptoms are similar to other less severe ailments, and the tiny worms which cause the problem can usually be detected.
Trichinosis
Has a long been associated with eating undercooked pork and other swine products. Spread by butchered animal wastes, and rats virtually any animal eating such materials can carry the worms and be a source for human infestation. Trichinosis is not true infection since the worms do not multiply in the body. Besides pigs, common sources of trichinosis are bear, walrus, whale, seal, and dogs and cats when we used for food.
Although trichinosis is not usually fatal, a person eating heavily infested, undercooked meat can die. Aching muscles are usually the first indication of trouble. The pains generally start in the shoulders, then spread to the back and legs. A loss of appetite, nausea and vomitting low. Since the tiny worms can plug up vessels carrying lymph fluid in the body, a typical symptom is swelling of the tissues around the eyes. Almost certain diagnosis can be made when the three symptoms- muscle pain, loss of appetite or nausea and swelling around the eyes- occur together.
To avoid ingesting the worms, take special precautions when eating meat from wild animals, such as wild pig and bear, pork products especially sausage, should well-cooked.
Preventing trichinosis is a relatively simple procedure:
Thoroughly cook all animal flesh before eating, especially pork. People using microwave ovens should be careful that all meat reaches the minimum cooking temperature (140°). Trichinosis has resulted from "cold spots" in the meat when using microwaves.
Freeze pork and pork products for atleast three days at -16.6°F to kill the worms. Even lower temperature may be needed to kill some cold-resistant worms found in Arctic regions.
Cook all garbage fed to pigs to prevent worm spreading.
Remember, this is simple tips but can brings a lot of help to us to prevent for having this painful illness.

New Years Resolution
We stand on the threshold of the year 2021. Most people look at the new years as a fresh beginning, the chance to start all over, perform better on the job or overcome a bad habit. It may be improving on something, such as parenting, being a better spouse or exercising regularly. It may be developing different priorities using time better, or experimenting on new methods.
We hear a lot about new years resolutions, which are usually broken in a matter of weeks. Many people are very pessimistic about the whole idea because so many new years resolutions become yearned disillusions.!
Fearing to have another history of past failures, a man decides not to have anything to do with resolutions. But that is copout. Resolutions are important. Life is meaningful only if it is purposeful and we make determine effort at improvement. Resolutions do make a world of difference between man and jellyfish. But thats not all.
We need good resolutions. This requires Janusian perception. We need to see the past in retrospect and note down the prospect of our future. The new year is a time to reflect and think about what the past has brought and what the new year could bring. It is time to evaluate and analyze even past resolutions and why they failed, to take stock of our priorities, values, pursuits and goals
Good resolutions must be reasonable, measurable, divided into parts, with specific goal and lifetime and spread throughout the year. This makes it an easy way.
Finally, good resolutions should consider the great questions of life and the stewardship of life as God wants us to have it.
Advance Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Everyone!

Overview Of Iligan City
Chroniclers say that centuries ago, long before Legaspi's expedition reached the Philippines in 1565, the tala-andigs and the Banwahons, two of the known peace-loving Higa-onon tribes of Mindanao, had built an ilihan or iliyan, meaning a "fortress of defense" on the coastal plain to secure them from the frequent attacks of pirates and savage tribes. Hence, the place came to be called as ILIGAN.
ILIGAN CITY, is bounded by the provinces of Bukidnon, Misamis Oriental, by two provinces of Lanao and by Cagayan de Oro. Iligan has a total land area of 81, 337 hectares with 44 Barangays. It has a type C climate characterized by short, low sun dry season for one to three months. Rainfalls are evenly distributed throughout the year. It is located outside the typhoon belt.
Iligan City of majestic waterfalls as of latest count has 23 waterfalls distributed in the 44 barangays of Iligan. Most famous of these waterfalls is the Maria Cristina falls whis is harnessed by some corporation and provides electricity not only for the city but the entire Mindanao island as well.
It is not only known for its rich natural resources but is also the home of nationally acclaimed artists, poets, film makers, cultural workers and writers and geographically, the crossroad of the cultural mix of the Maranaos of Lanao del Sur, Higaonons of Bukidnon and the dominantly Christian settlers and migrants from Luzon, Visayas and other places of Mindanao.

Philippine Festival
Hello Read.cash members my topic for today is all about Philippine festival particularly, Dayandi Festival of Iligan City. Folk-lore depicts Iligan's patron saint, St. Michael the Archangel as the Protector of Peace.
During the 70's at the height of the secessionist hostilities in Mindanao, people believed that Iligan remained untouched and safe from rebel attacks because of the Miracles of St. Michael.
One evening, when a hostile group was poised to attack Iligan City, the rebels retreated because they could not find the city as it was transformed into a lake. Another story told is that the Patron Saint makes his rounds in the evening as evidenced by Amorseko grass on his clothes and muddy boots.
These are just a few of the many stories about St. Michael. Even the story of his installation as patron saint of Iligan continues to inspire and endear him to each and every Iliganon.
Thus, his feast every 29th of September, is a grand celebration of Iligan. In fact, it has transformed into a month-long festival, the DIYANDI FESTIVAL SA ILIGAN.
Diyandi
Is a ritual performed by an all-female group outside the Cathedral during the Pakanaug, before every novena and before the start of the Komedya, or Comedia de San Miguel, a folk stage play depicting the celestial battle. The ritual depicts the courtship between Maranao male and Higaunon female, and culminating into an offering symbolic of their union and bountiful harvest to St. Michael the Archangel.
The ritual aptly describes the peaceful co-existence of Iligan s tri-people-maranaos, higaonons and Christians.
