Did your mother boost your confidence when you were young? Unfortunately, my mom didn't.. She's an introverted person and I got it from her. I remember when I was a kid, I was always told by my mom not to go out of my room if there are visitors.. She doesn't like us to play outside and interrupt the visitors.. So, as an obedient kid, I used to hide in my room when there are visitors at home.. Even if they were just our relatives. I also don't like to visit my relative's houses and chitchat with my cousins.. I just like to stay at home. So people in our place know me as a shy person.. But that gave me low self-confidence to the point that I even fear to face our class during recitation.. So if you are a mother, teach your kids to have self-confidence and do not deprive them to see the world or face the crowd ..
