NFTs/Collectibles have just invaded the crypto space that anyone can't resist having them. Who doesn't love to own those unique and irreplaceable digital assets anyway? And just recently, @BCH.Serg shared about another platform called sweet.io powering the digital collectible revolution and users can collect their native token SUGAR while collecting NFT/Collectibles of their favorite artists.
Let's take a look here and know how to add some SWEETness of SUGAR to your Digital Collectibles.
So What Are SWEET And SUGAR?
The Sweet.io platform was launched in January 2018 as the first fan-based community and loyalty rewards marketplace where artists, brands, and cultural influencers can acknowledge and reward fans with a digital token (Sugar), a social spendable value for performing meaningful actions and engaging with content and their community.
Fans can then redeem Sugar for exciting and one-of-a-kind experiences and rewards provided by the artists and brands that cannot be found elsewhere, for their micro-social contributions, and their time created a sensational level of fan engagement.
The platform was founded by Tom Mizzone, an entrepreneurial technology executive with years of experience launching, growing, and operating successful organizations.
In October 2019, the platform launched its fan rewards app of the same name (SWEET), which allows artists to connect to their supporters and give them opportunities to earn prizes such as backstage passes, private lessons, video chats, free Collectibles, and more.
Sweet Eco-Friendly NFT Solution for Artists and Consumer Brands
Creating NFTs gives a huge impact on the environment, but Sweet's NFT is made in an eco-friendly solution supporting the ERC721 standard on Ethereum. Additionally, one of their best solutions is the BCH technology they used to create many of their NFTs.
How Does Creating NFT Using BCH Solution Lessen The Impact On The Environment?
The more energy used in making NFT, the more negative effect on the environment. The NFT mining is calculated using "exa-hashes per second" (EH/s). Some platforms are mining at about 450 EH/s, but on Sweet, they only use 1.5 EH/s using BCH solution.
Another way to look at it is by determining the kWh (KiloWatt Hours) used in making NFT. Some platforms use 340 kWh per NFT which is equivalent to 145 kg of CO2 emissions. But on Sweet, they only use 0.2 kWh or about 0.086 kg of CO2.
This makes them 500x more energy efficient than other platforms.

After signing up on the app, you can get free Collectibles right away. Here are the Collectibles I have collected after signing up (except for the Color by Anna Chase).
Music Streaming
You can connect your Spotify account to Sweet to listen to the music of the listed artists and collect SUGAR and their free Collectibles. There are different song varieties and artists that you can choose to stream, then unlock the gifts, and collect Sugar rewards. The downside of this past is that you need to have a Premium Spotify account to collect the free Collectibles of the artists.
Connect Your Social Media Accounts
You can connect Sweet to your social media accounts such as Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube. You can also follow social media accounts of the celebrities and artists featured on Sweet to get a chance to participate in their Collectible giveaways and other events.
After connecting my social media accounts, collect free Collectibles, and request a trade, I saw additional Sugar on my wallet.
If you wish to use your Sugars to buy Collectibles, you can email their support line with "Sugar for Collectibles" in the subject line and they will help you with the redemption.
Want to get the Collectible but NO Premium Spotify account?
Don't worry, you can still have it by requesting a trade with other users.
For example this one below.
I don't have a Premium Spotify account but I want to grab the Color by Anna Chase card collectible. So I requested a trade with all users who have it, using the Escape To Shade Shadow by Markus Schulz coin collectible that I've got for free from NFT Drops. The trade request will expire in 24 hours if the users don't want to accept it. You will receive a notification once your trade has been accepted.
Sweet MarketPlace
The Sweet app serves as the marketplace where you can buy and trade your collectibles with higher Tier collectibles.
The Sweet Collectibles are group into:
Featured Collectibles
Coin Collectibles
Card Collectibles
And categorized from Tier 1-5 and Rare Collectibles.
TRADE COLLECTIBLES
You can trade your collectibles to higher Tier or Rare Collectibles.
Just go to 'Trades.'
Choose the Collectible you want to trade with other Collectible.
Click 'Trade on Sweet'
Choose the Collectible that you want to trade for.
Then click 'Request Trade.' The trade will be sent to all owners of the Collectible you want to trade for.
For the Sold Out Collectibles that you want to own, you can also trade it with your current Collectibles.
Just click the Collectible you want to trade for, then reach out to all owners for a trade.
PURCHASE COLLECTIBLES
If you want to purchase Sweet Collectibles, you can visit their Store and choose the category of Collectibles you want to purchase. The prices depend on the type of Collectibles and package your want to purchase.
For example this Featured Collectibles 'Essketit Card' by Lil Pump. There are four packs that you can choose to purchase:
Pack 1 - Only the Collectible itself
Fan Pack - +2 Free Mystery Collectibles
Collectors Pack - +3 Free Mystery Collectibles (with 1 Rare Item)
Super Pack - +4 Free Mystery Collectibles (with 2 Rare Item)
Chose the type of package you want to purchase, then slide the bar to complete the purchase.
The payment methods depend on your place. Since I am here in Hong Kong, here are the available payments that I can use. Alipay is a digital wallet in Hong Kong, and an octopus wallet is used for public transport fare or buying goods. You can also use your Paypal account or Debit/Credit card.

Are Sweet Digital Collectibles Legit?
The Sweet Digital Collectibles have Authenticity and you can track them on the Blockchain because they are created under Simple Ledger Protocol (SLP) and recorded on a public blockchain.
You can also transfer your Sweet Digital Collectibles to your private SLP wallet. Just choose the Collectibles you want to transfer then click Request access to transfer.
