Dear Philippines
How are you? I hope everything's fine Seems like you're feeling blue And your sun just can't shine My dear, what happened? What's the tears all about? From whom was all this blood? Why is your mouth shut? Time has elapsed and you have worsen Your children kill each other Many are high with forbidden medicine And only time can tell when you'll get better Oh, I weep with you, motherland! Your rich soil was tilled Yet underrated by their plan Worse, your soil's grain was killed The youth is the hope of the land The land is hopeful of its youth But, oh, your children did not find The better sunrise with the truth. I lament for you can't speak Your voice is muted For if you talk, the throne would seek For your displeasure, that is undisputed. Alas! You are fooled! Your abundance was abused Alas! You are betrayed! You did not know your friends. Amidst all odds, stand your ground Resist the lurking of apathy, betrayal, and abuse Let your voice echo with euphonic sound Let your lips smile with what you choose. How are you? I know chaos has just begun With the illness you go through Get well soon, love, your son.
