Yesterday, I had a brisk walk along a bypass road constructed to decongest the heavy traffic in the city. It's heartbreaking to see the lifeless streets. I saw a family of four people scavenging leftover foods in the trash. I saw a man walking looking exhausted, down, and broken evident on the tears he was shedding. Eventually, I learned that this employee was one of those who were laid off and fired due to this pandemic. I once again looked at the lifeless street. Being able to see and hear stories of the street I was walking by shows a glimpse of the unwanted status quo several months from now. This is very unusual. A reality everyone needs to face and accept... The New Normal is indeed abnormal!
