Poverty
Poverty, is a disease, which has affected millions of Africans. But let's first ask ourselves this simple but thought-provoking question. Who is a poor person? A poor person is someone who can hardly afford one good meal again. That person is always under-nourished and looks very pale. The poor person has no decent accommodation. He or she sleeps in ghettos and in uncompleted buildings. The poor person has no good clothes to wear. He or she is always in tattered clothes and sometimes walks bare footed too. Some poor parents can hardly send their children to school. If they do, payment of the school fees becomes a problem and their wards usually become school drop outs. They grow up to become a danger to society as they may engage in armed-robbery, and prostitution. The poor are never respected in their communities and people always look down upon them. Their ideas and opinions, are never taken and considered to be foolish and also irrelevant. This places them in a very bad situation and they grieve until they die.

Yes you are right dear. Sometimes war and violence also causes poverty. Poor people cannot invest in property and education. Extreme poverty usually effects the lifespan

You are truly right... Most people see themselves to be poor because other people have more than them. Don't determine your wealth or poverty due to one's havings. As I always say, if You have a even a small place to live, Food to eat and friends & family who loves you, then you are richer than you think. Great article... Keep the good works up.. yes right....in my country i have seen them closely.......some of them are poor but their self respect is higher and so they suffers lot....

as for your article which describes being poor,,, we are poor but we are not malnourished,we still can provide the nourishments our physical body needs. we eat 3x a day or more I mean snacks included.. Luckily we have houses that shelter us from the scrorching heat of the sun, the the winds and rains especially storms. We do our best to provide decent education for our children.. Yes we are poor,industrius people

It is true that in poverty there is a need for many material things, but these people are sometimes happier than those who have everything. that we gain by having money to fill ourselves with so many things that sometimes we don't even use them the best thing is to have spiritual wealth and have what is necessary to live.
