The Life Choice I've Made

At an early age, I've been dreaming to become a teacher. Why? Honestly, I don't know why. Since I was a kid its the only dream I had in mind. During my grade school, my teachers, first grade up to sixth grade, always makes us write our autobiography. Introducing your name, age, address, name of parents, hobbies, like and dislikes, and of course your dream in life and reasons why that is your dream. I don't know but I really hate it when they're asking me "***Why it is your dream?***" I don't know, maybe because even I, don't know the answer to that question. So as formality and without being rude, I answered it with the general reasons of others wanting also to be a teacher. Like "***I want to be a teacher because I want to teach the children how to write, read, and count."*** "***I want to be a teacher because I want to impart knowledge."*** I thought that question may stop when I entered college, but that question's continued, and so my answers while still the same but things slowly changing I was enlighten what the role of a teacher is. In college, we have this called "**Field Study"** and **"Practice Teaching"**. During my field study, I'm observing the teacher I was assigned with and I may say that being a teacher is not an easy job. ***Teacher is the second parents of the students.*** In school, the teachers takes care of every students. I thinks teachers, when in school, transform in every profession. When a students is sick, he/she became a doctor/nurse to take good care of the students. They are can also be an actor, a dancer, a singer, an artist, and etc. That's the role of a teachers in school. Watching those things makes me realize how great a teacher is. Without them, there is no doctor, nurse, engineer, police, or any profession because they are the one who lead as of who we are except our parents. That's how great a teachers are. Today if someone going to ask me, ***"Why be a teacher?"*** ***"Because I want to be the stepping stone to achieve their dreams."*** I know, time will come that I may be forgotten, but as a teacher, students' success is a great gift to a teacher. I want to thank all my teachers, because of them, I am now a **TEACHER**. ~~~~JABS~~~~
