A Ghost Story

`This is story is based on my own experience.` I was in third grade when I first encountered this creepy and scary scenario. At the time, I am really a scaredy-cat. Afraid to be alone at home or even walking at night. I tend to imagine things that unimaginable. A little sound of scratched or any creepy sound makes me shivered and scared. A cold breeze at night makes me run home as fast as a light. Even encountering a dog on the road or their barks gaves me goosebumps. It was summer vacation. During summer,our barangay always held a basketball league. My father and older brother sometimes joined the league. The game always starts at around 6:00 pm and sometimes end at around 10:00 pm. My family during that time always eat dinner early so that we can watched them play. I went to the venue together with my sister and find our spot wherein we can watched and cheer. After the first half, I felt that I need to used the bathroom because I need to pee, since the venue has no comfort rooms, I need to go home. I know that no one was at the house because all of my family are watching the game. I asked my sister to accompany me but she refused too, so I went to my mother and asked her. She only said that I can go alone, that the lights in the house are all open. I didn't bothered my mother anymore because she is busy chatting to her friends, and decided to go alone. On my way to our house, the way or the road are a little dark and there are some plants and bushes. The only little I could see is the light coming from a far street post. I really can't see the road and only used my sense not to stumbled on any rocks. As I was walking, I looked around the surrounding and started to imagined again. That there are red eyes watching my every move and hearing some whispers. I took all my courage and run fast as I could and telling myself to stop imagining. Soon after, I arrived at our house and felt safe. I immediately went to our comfort room and peed. I am hesistant to step my feet outside, but I am also afraid to stay alone. I decided to wait for a person that is going also to the venue but I failed. I can't even see a single shadow of any person so I decided to go back to the venue. The same way to take, and I felt my heart pounding and beating fast. This time what I did is to run fast again without looking in my surrounding. I felt sade again after I saw my mother and sister on the same spot where they are before I left. After the game end, we hurriedly went home. My mother and some of my sibling stayed on the living room and watched teleserye. While me, after I took a half bath I went to bed and sleep. While everyone is sleeping, I suddenly felt something and felt awakened. I looked at the clock on the wall and it said that it's almost passed three 'o clock. I know that everyone is sleeping already. When I was about to go back to my sleep I looked at bed beside and saw a white figure. The figure looks like my sister and my cousin sitting and talking while facing each other. I also saw that their hands are moving. As soon as I saw them, I told and asked myself why are they still talking and not sleeping. I was about to close my eyes and not to mind them, when my gaze diverted to their bed. And to my surprised, they are both lying in their bed. Sleeping soundly with their blankets. I looked again to the white figure and it's still there continued talking. I looked closely and what shocked me more is that they don't have face. They don't have face but they seems talking to each other. I am staring back and forth to the white figures and to my sister and cousin sleeping. After realizing that they are not my sister and cousin, I hurriedly covered my face with my blanket and forced myself to sleep. I didn't removed the blanket until I fall asleep. The next morning, since I am very afraid I never told it to my family. I don't want them to be scared like me so I kept my mouth shut. From then onwards, I am not scared in ghost anymore. And I actually loved to watched horror movies and read horror stories. I find them interesting. **Thanks for reading!**
